| 2 | Linda Balczarek | Make NO MISTAKE THIS IS NOT A VICIOUS DOG AND TO EUTHANIZE HIM IS A CRIME IN IT SELF FOR A TORN SKIRT AND NO SKIN!!.IT'S TIME FOR HIM TO GO HOME!!!! THIS MY BE YOUR PET NEXT THINK ABOUT IT? |
| 3 | Fran Henry | I find neighbors testimony suspect since no one had ever complained about Rolo to Animal Control. |
| 4 | Tyler Lewis-Dahm | CO ST § 13-21-124 This 2005 Colorado law makes a dog owner strictly liable for dog bites only if the victim of the bite suffers serious bodily injury or death from being bitten by a dog while lawfully on public or private property regardless of the viciousness or dangerous propensities of the dog or the dog owner's knowledge or lack of knowledge of the dog's viciousness or dangerous propensities. Further, the victim is entitled to recover only economic damages (as opposed to noneconomic damages like pain and suffering, inconvenience, etc.) in a civil suit against the dog owner. Also, the statute provides that an owner is not liable where the victim is unlawfully on public or private property;
The law was broken when the judge in this case set a verdict for the animal that was fair and then changed his mind when false testimony was presented after the fact. The judge then sentenced Rolo to death! That is not justice! Ask these so called "witnesses" to testify under oath so they may face the consequences of perjury! Please examin all the evidence of this case clearly so that justice can be done and Rolo can come home. Thank you! |
| 5 | Jeff Tiner | he is a good dog and he has always been good around me and my kids |
| 6 | Joe Tiner | he is always a been a very good dog and i like him alot |
| 7 | Erin Tiner | I am 10 years old and I love Rolo |
| 8 | Laura Cook | give rolo another chance drop this case!!!!!!!!!! |
| 9 | James Hauser | Save Rolo. He is a good dog and very people friendly. Release him from this cruel and unusual punishment. I can't believe (well yes I can) the courts have locked him up for this long. The punishment sure does not fit the act. Free him and free the courts to try other more important cases like murders, child abuse, drug dealers, etc... |
| 10 | Anonymous | I can't believe what the world is coming to, this poor dog |
| 11 | Travis Pement | |
| 12 | Anonymous | This is about as stupid and frivolous as you can get. Lock up the "victim". |
| 13 | Cindy Sargent | Although I do not know Rollo and his owner personally, it does seem this punishment is too extreme. I am an Arvada resident, and am concerned how this case is being handled.
Any dog that can share a food bowl with a cat obviously has a gentle nature.
Thank you, Cindy Sargent |

| 15 | CONSTANCE SCHOMMER | |
| 16 | David Rush | This is cruel and inhumane. Why doesn't the city "waterboard" him while they are at it. This speaks volumes about how unfair the city of Arvada can be. |
| 17 | Blaine Mitchell | |
| 18 | Stephen G. Cook | Such a severe penalty for a first time offender? |
| 19 | glade | this judgement is completely ridiculous!!!!! |
| 20 | Jared Day | Please save this dog, the dog nipped somebody it didn't maul the person! |
| 21 | April Meyer | I visit Arvada on a regular basis. I know this dog becuz my brothers live right next door.. it is unfortunate that this has happened to this poor dog. i have walked up to this dog and never had any problems. i have petted the dog. Please, Our pets become part of the family.I cant begin to imagine my child being locked up in a cage with all alone. This makes the City of Arvada look bad. Not only the people but also the city itself. Next time I am in Arvada, and fall over because i was spinning around in circles too fast, i will just sue! |
| 22 | Jodi Castle | This is a serious injustice for Rolo. The punishment does not fit the crime. He is a good dog that deserves to live and to prove that. |
| 23 | Linda Hobbs | This dog owner has done everything possible to resolve this - spending thousands of dollars to safely enclose her yard with a privacy fence. Please give her and Rolo their day in court! |
| 24 | Jeremy Miller | How long can you punish an animal for nothing? Time served Judge. I prey that you make the right decision. God willing Rolo is going home. I have been following this story since it happened. There has to be a better way of determining the life of any animal. You can not make a judgment on hear say in the American court system it is illegal. How would you feel if someone tried to put down your animal, for such a minor thing? My prayers are with you Laura, God Bless. |

| 28 | David Thompson | Assuming the assertions that the conviction was based on "lies and false evidience" that I'm obviously not in a position to assess myself. |
| 29 | Thomas Gath | |
| 30 | Sandra Tuffin | This is outrageous! Rapist arent treated as harshly as this poor dog! |
| 31 | Astrid Bradbury | The crime doesn't fit the punishment! Please free Rolo! Rolo's owner has already taken responsible steps to prevent any further incident like improving the fence aera and working with a trainer.
A reputable trainer has evaluated Rolo and stated that he is no danger to society!
I am truly sorry for the victim's emotional distress, but a lot seems to be based on fear and lack of knowledge of dog behaviour. A dog barking at the fence isn't necessarily aggressive. It can be herding behaviour, lack of exercise, boredom...
Rolo deserves a fair hearing. After all dogs serve humans every day as military dogs, police dogs, therapy dogs, search and rescue etc.
Please pardon Rolo. He doesn't deserve to die! |

| 41 | Anonymous | This incarceration is an injustice to Rolo; this extended period of solitary confinement is cruel punishment for either a human being or a dog. This extended period of incarceration can only have a deleterious effect on Rolo, to the point that a true assessment of his behavior will be difficult to obtain. I respectfully urge the presiding judge to take the description given by the paramedics on the scene at the time seriously; I respectfully urge the court to release Rolo from his confinement into the custody of his owner. |

| 44 | Anonymous | It is a shame that Rolo has no opportunity to be released from his cage for a walk or exercise. Surely, there must be a few minutes a day where his mom could walk him under the supervision of the shelter. All that time in a cage cannot be good for him. From the photos, he does not appear to be dog or cat aggrssive. |

| 48 | Anonymous | Some of the people here are misinformed about why this case is taking so long. Its a Jefferson County judge and not an Arvada judge that is responsible for ruling on the appeal of Rolo's case. So the amount of time this appeal is taking is solely the responsibility of the Jeffco judge. |
| 49 | Janna Friend | I just e-mailed Gov. Ritter and asked him to please look into and do something about this case. I am so disappointed in Arvada!!!!! |
| 50 | Carol King | Recently in the news there have been articles about parents and companions of parents who have killed their children and BEEN RELEASED. Even murderers, rapist, child molesters get second chances. It's way past the time that Rollo was released back to his owner. |
