If you've been following local school district 23 news lately, you've probably noticed by now that the school district plans to cut $1,000,000 from its budget. A series of options have been planned for budget cuts, and, sadly, ALL of them involve cutting ALL of the music programs COMPLETELY. This means no more band, choir, or orchestra for any District 23 student, and no more opportunities that only those programs can offer. Whether you are a D23 alumni, a parent, a music director, a musician or anyone else who knows of the opportunities, friendships, and culture that arises from music, please sign this petition and join the cause to save the music in D23.
