I decided to commit my studio to mLAN, primarily because it is backed by what I believe to be one of the best audio gear manufacturers in the global market. Yamaha's commitment to their mLAN objectives has been disappointing and I fear that if development lags too far behind, the protocol will be dropped.
PLEASE stay focussed on your commitment to this protocol, the devices that support it, and the drivers for OS X that make it work. |

really sucks. Archive.ORG picked it up 6-Mar-2007,
and that as well is pretty scary. I found this petition
while researching the possible use of mLAN devices for television production, and looking for
prior versions of drivers that would run under
MacOS 10.3.9 (which I must use for SCSI support).
Now, after reading all this, and some other stuff, I
rather doubt I'll even try it. Not being able to sync
to an external clock is enough to render it useless
to me. CPU hogging and random offsets would
also be fatal problems in my work.
