Maple Avenue in need of speed bumps, and photo enforcement in order to protect the innocent residents subjected to reckless drivers.
The residents request speed bumps, and photo enforced radars on Maple Avenue, Vallejo, Ca. This request is in order to protect the innocent community that has been subjected to reckless drivers that use this street as a freeway instead of respecting it as a emergency thoroughfare. Several requests by the residents have been denied over the years, and complaints fallen on deaf ears to our City Officials. On October 10, 2011 around 12:30pm a car struck three parked cars on Maple avenue, and eventually landed on the lawn facing the front door of the fourth house involved in the accident. This incident will be the third similar crash for one resident ending in her third parked vehicle totaled due to a speeder. This petition is to not only save the lives that the thoroughfare was initially meant for, but to also protect the lives that are in danger from reckless drivers that overuse this residential street.
