Combining with another town will only make it more difficult for them to protect our growing community. Our police officers know almost everyone in town and are more familiar with the local roads. This in turn relates to a faster response time which could make the difference in saving someone's life. Seconds count. |

I wonder how many others felt the same way and I feel that although taxes may "temporarily" decrease,it will not compensate the loss we may suffer due to the potential "decrease" in the value of our homes. The MAPD is a credit to our commmunity for many reasons and the mere thought of dismissing their services is a discredit and disrepectful act to them and the citizens of Mount Arlington. |

The few times I had a chance to speak to one of them I found them informative and friendly. I know they are doing a great job for the community and it would be criminal to loss them. |

I have been impressed with web site, articles in the local newspapers and especially the signs I have seen in the local community. I live in Roxbury Twp., but I must confess, I really want one of those signs in my lawn! I have a few acquaintances who work on the Roxbury Police Department and they speak very highly of the officers in Mt. Arlington. I think the Mt. Arlington Police department should remain intact as is and hope that the council and mayor realize that merging with another police would not be in the best interest of the Mt. Arlington residents. |
