Andico,Denise | I'm out of state now,but lived there for years, its doesn't make sence to disband they are really needed. It is an up and coming town.It was growing when I lived there.
Ray VanHoorebeke |
John McConnell |
Kori Jacobson | we need to have the police department to keep the community safe
Karl Ferguson |
John Edwards | The $42,000 isn't being spent to investigate the possibility. No one spends that kind of money for a survey. The money is being spent to find a way to make it happen period.
Yolanda Hanson | Its hard to believe with the senior development in Kara Homes that we are pressed for money. It seems we are worse off now then before. Our crime rate is down because of our Police. And We would like to keep it that way.I live on Hwd Blvd. and I can actually get out of my driveway because of our patrolmen inforcing the speed limit. Why would you want to consider taking the safe feeling we have living in Mt.Arlington away. That is what keeps us here for years.
alma rios | please keep our police!!1

Patrick Hughes | Let the people in town decide. Put it to a vote. I bet you won't see more than 5 votes for abolishing our police force. It's a bad idea, especially with the train station coming soon. The council seemingly has selfish interests.

| 65 | PO ROBERT SUTTON | IT'S NOT FAIR TO THE PEOPLE OF MT ARLINGTON TO GET RID OF THEIR POLICE OFFICERS. THESE OFFICERS WORK 24-7, 365 DAYS A YEAR FOR THE PEOPLE OF MT ARLINGTON! NOT ONLY IS THE MT.ARLINGTON POLICE DEPARTMENT INVALUABLE, YOU WOULD BE DOING A GREAT DISSERVICE TO THE COMMUNITY. YOUR OFFICERS KNOW THE COMMUNITY THEY SERVE ON A PERSONAL LEVEL! HOW COULD YOU JUSTIFY "SHARING POLICE SERVICES WITH ANOTHER TOWN AND TO DISBAND THE MT ARLINGTON POLICE DEPARTMENT?" GETTING RID OF THEM WOULD BE AN INJUSTICE. THINK ABOUT THE PEOPLE IN THE COMMUNITY AND THE SERVICES THEY RECEIVE FROM THE MT. ARLINGTON POLICE DEPARTMENT AND THE COMMITMENT YOUR OFFICERS HAVE TO THEIR COMMUNITY.
AS A POLICE OFFICER MYSELF, AND HAVING FRIENDS THAT NOT ONLY LIVE BUT WORK IN MT. ARLINGTON, I FEEL IT'S NECESSARY FOR ME TO SIGN THIS PETITION.
PBA PRESIDENT, LOCAL 161
POMPTON LAKES POLICE DEPARTMENT |
ED parrillo | we are residents of this town for almost thirty years and the mapd has always been there when we need them
Marie Mele |
Doreen Bourdette |
Laura Salemme |
Kyra Maler | I am no longer a resident of Mt. Arlington, but still call it home. My mom is a resident for over 30 years and the MAPD have always come through for us in a time of need. Mt. Arlington is growing at a rapid pace and requires it's own Police Department to keep it the great town it is!
Lucille Sweetser | I am a senior citizen and the Mt. Arlington police have been by to help me several times - they are a wonderful group of gentleman and I am not in favor of losing them.

Jeannine M. Dash | Please keep the Mt. Arlington Police Department running and do not share forces with another town.
Chris Nelson |
Christine Moniodes | Having grown up in this town, I have lived comfortably for the past 35 years knowing our town was being looked after my our own special group of police officers. No LITTLE saving of money is going to make up for the protection they provide.
Elaine Galluccio | I feel it is absolutley obsurd to get rid of the police department. I think there will be a high crime rate knowing there is no police around and I think it is unfair to do this.
Lorrie Albinson |
Jeff Coulson | Although no longer living in Mt. Arlington, before moving in the late 80's I had lived there for 17 years. It is obvious that the borough does not lend itself to outsourcing if you consider its location. I can't see how a longer response time (do you really think that an officer from another town assigned to cover Mt. Arlington is going to remain in Mt. Arlington if the calls in their own town start to back up?) by an officer who has a natural allegiance to their own town is going to benefit borough residents?
Jessica Martino |
Lisa Fiore |
Justin Wentzel | This is rediculous! What have you done in mine hill since 2002 ? you saved the town 1million dollars but you also made it a field day for common criminals! i would imagine with all the added crime you should have kept the police force! cut your own salary then see what that does for this town!
Maureen Norris | Save MAPD

Anonymous | please save the mapd i grew up with most of these guys and i talk to them occasionally and they are all like a second family
Ryan Plumb | Netcong Borough PD
paul w chamberlain | Cutting the police department will accomplish nothing, unless you consider risking the safety of your citizens an accomplishment.
paul mannerberg |
David Rich |
Sean Cottrell | this police are the greatest people i actually trust them more than i would any other cop they are not just police officers to me they are friends
Jen Dorr |
Joe Lang | $42,000 for another BS study, sounds like the MA Mayor and Council are taking lessons from Roxbury. Lets waste some more taxpayer money instead of improving our public safety departments!!!
