Jocelyn Mancuso | MAPD were so good to me when I had my seizure and incase I have another I'm afraid of Roxbury answering that call because I live closer to Jefferson. It will take them awhile. MAPD know all of us in town and know all our roads for fast calls. They are also good at catching speeders especially since I live around a blind spot. Ondish, your making a big mistake!

Michael Houtz | I live on the border of Roxbury and Mt. Arlington and rely on both departments. Find another way to cut cost.

Charles Posegate | Please put a sign on my lawn (37 Kadel Drive) and please keep our law officers "local". For decades they have been professional, visable, responsive, and excellent examples of what police officers should be and do. I don't recall any scandals in the 32 years my family has resided in Mt Arlington. Initial outsourcing cost estimates might appear to save us taxpayers a little money, but I'll bet that the fees and charges would very quickly rise after another town has Mt Arlington "on the hook". And any dollars we might save will not compensate us for the longer likely average response times in emergencies. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE look past the less important dollars and cents and keep our police department here, in their new building, in our growing town. (Yo, Mayor Ondish- I really appreciate the improvements to our town in recent years, and I appreciate these investigations to try to save us some dollars, BUT this idea won't get you and the council re-elected ...) Thanks. CSP

Anonymous | Former Mt. Arlington Resident. If I were in need of help at the time of my residence in Mt Arlington and the closest police station was Roxbury, there is no telling what would have happened in whatever situation occurred. It would have taken Roxbury at least 10 minutes to respond. There is no need for a town the size of Mt. Arlington NOT to have its own Police Department. Anyone who wants to take the safety out of the town, has no right being Mayor.

Pamela A. Hogan | I may not be a resident of Mt. Arlington, but I have family there that lives closer to the Mt. Arlington/Jefferson border. If there were an emergency, it would take far too long for Roxbury to get there on time.
Thomas E Hopkins | Gotta save the MAPD!
KEvin Santiago | I have even been stopped by you guys, but every town should have their own police force.

Victoria Maresca | I think it is insane to have Roxbury or even another town take over. The town is still going to have to pay the new town to cover our town and I do not see how that is going to save money. The response time to any emergency is not going to be fast, our volunteer firedept will probably have a faster response time then another towns police dept. Police are suposed to be the first responder and I do not see that happening. In order for there to be a quick response time the town that does take over is going to have to hire more guys to cover Mt. Arlington (hopefull take some of our guys) and that means there payroll will go up who do you think is going to be paying them. Yes Mt. Arlington. I as a taxpayer feel that we should not pay another town and should keep our own guys. Whoever thinks this is a good idea will be kicking themselves when they have an emergency and it takes to long for the police to help them.
