Name: Vanessa N Smith on Apr 26, 2007Comments: I have never had Professor Lupi, but I can understand what is going on because of Professor Susan Picillo. It seems as though the university has once again failed to look at each teacher on a case by case bases. It is unfair to group all teacher's into one category without looking at their merits and skills!Flag

Professor Lupi deserves the the spot as an educator for this university based on his performance as teacher. It is a supremely sad day when talented individuals are put out because of the "appearance" this school wishes to display.Flag

Name: Lauren Govoni on Apr 26, 2007Comments: Professor Lupi was the best Math professor that I had at Northeastern.. and i've taken 5 math classes here. I had him for differential equations and linear algebra. I am an engineering student and diff eqs and linear alegra is very important base knowledge for my major. He taught me so well that i was able to use mly knowlege of diff eqs and linear algebra and it helped me immensely in my classes. Nevermind my classes, this math class is very important knowledge for my engineering career.Flag

Name: Anandam Banerjee on Apr 26, 2007Comments: Prof. Lupi is a very good and responsible teacher. And, it does not look like they are going to replace him with a good teacher who is a PhD. The university just wants to save money by firing him and increasing burdens on the TAs.Flag

Name: Christopher Knighton on Apr 27, 2007Comments: Professor Lupi is the best mathematics teacher I have ever had. Northeastern's new policy is a terrible one and is removing some of Northeastern's best teachers. Having a PhD does not make a teacher any better for the purpose of education, and the replacement teachers will surely not be the same. It is shameful that Northeastern is firing some of its best professors for "better rankings."Flag
