Name: Kennneth McGrady on Apr 24, 2007Comments: Professor Lupi is an amazing math professor who could take something as complex as Multivariable Calculus and make it so easy. He is very straightforward and overall a very effective professor! Northeastern shouldn't fire someone because of a degree. Offer him a chance!Flag

Name: Anonymous on Apr 24, 2007Comments: His termination is outrageous! Keeping professors who are past their prime and nearing their grave just because they have a PhD is moronic. As far as I am concerned it should be, Who can teach and communicate the subject to the students.Flag

Name: Andrew Gawlak on Apr 25, 2007Comments: Prof Lupi is the greatest professor i have had at this University. He is able to grab any students attention easily and that is what makes an amazing professor. It would be a great loss to NEU to lose Lupi. I don't care if he only had a GED, i would still have him as a professor. I think he should be allowed to take his PhD here at NEU so he can continue teaching young adults.Flag

Name: Michael Andryuk on Apr 25, 2007Comments: This is an outrage. Many of the professor that possess PhDs here can't teach at all and many of Northeasterns students suffer because of it. If you have a teacher that works well, I say that you should keep them, rather than bringing in some new PhD holder that may not interact with the staff well or have any teaching skills whatsoever.Flag

Name: Thao Nguyen on Apr 25, 2007Comments: I never had him but the idea of firing teachers because they don't have their phD is just plainly illogical since most of these professors are so busy with classes they haven't had the chance to get to the phD or the field doesn't require it. I'm sure Professor Lupi is awesome and deserves to keep this job.Flag

Name: Filipe Vieira on Apr 25, 2007Comments: I have learned so much from this math teacher. He was the most productive and efficient math teacher I have ever had. I would end up calling my parents and tell them how much of a "genius" he is. I used that word specifically because he was just an incredible person who could teach the material extremely well. He is the reason why Northeastern is of "Higher Learning. Richer Experience"Flag

Name: Danny Atway on Apr 25, 2007Comments: Lupi was the most straightforward math professor I have ever had. I came out of his course (Diff Eq's) knowing the material 100%. There is absolutely no reason he should be fired and it is an outrage that a PhD would be the deciding factor in the poor decision. Please keep one of the greatest math professors in the school.Flag
