Comments: Dear Law Makers, Please support bills 862 and 245. I am a talent agent in this state and I see that Georgia is bringing in more film production which means Louisiana will be losing film jobs and businesses like mine will suffer.

Comments: I am in support of raising the Production Tax Credit to 30%. In order to continue investment in film and digital media infrastructure in Louisiana (which will solidify Louisiana as a long term player in the motion picture industry) we must have a steady stream of films choosing Louisiana. This stream can only be ensured if we remain competitive, and a 30% credit is required to be competitive with other states.

Comments: We must increase the Louisiana film incentives! Not only in order to remain competitive in the industry, but in my opinion, to remain at all. I fear if we do not... not only will what the state started by being the first to initiating the film incentives program, cease but all that we have built and worked for in the past 5-7 years cease as well. We cannot let this happen! Support us! Sign the petition!

Comments: The movie business in Louisiana is alive and well thanks to the tax credits. There are so many more local businesses and non-film people that benefit from movies shooting here: hotels and staff, travel agents, police, locations rented, restaurants, construction materials, car and truck rental companies, clothing stores (costumes), furniture and antique dealers (for props), fuel, portable A/C rentals, grocery stores, Wal Mart, hardware stores...the list goes on. In addition, there are two sound stage facilities being built; this is real infrastructure. And movies shot in Louisiana that are shown around the world, is exceptional, free advertising for the State and good for the tourists business. Thank you.
