After seeing the documentary about this case recently I implore you to revisit this decision and at least let this lady have a real chance at defending herself. The fact the british government was not notified of her situation should be reason enough to revisit this. Please have the compassion to revisit this ladies case- regards- mark findlayFlag

Name: Arthur Johnstone on Jan 23, 2013Comments: This is a real life which will be destroyed. I am not a legal professional but there is clearly enough evidence to show that the conviction is not safe. The GB govt must act on behalf of it's citizens and this is particulary the case for Linda Carty where time is short. Our govt should use it's weight to stay this execution. Of course it could do it, it is a question of will. Once her life is extinguished it will be too late. It is a worry that a citizen from another country can fall foul of what looks like third world justice. Not a good look for the US. Not a good look for our Govt if it stands by and fails to use it's influence.Flag

Name: Donna Harrison on Jan 23, 2013Comments: How can this happen to a human being in this educated world of ours, at the very least she should be given a re trial with appropiate legal representation, how dare anyone be able to take her human rights and freedom away not even god would do that and he is the only one who has the right. Why is the american justice system so frought as to allow this to happen to this human being come on America catch up with the rest of the civilised and compassionate humane countrys in the western world, and Britian get her out of there.Flag

Name: Anonymous on Jan 23, 2013Comments: Linda deserves the right to appeal her case and the ability to clear her name. She most certainly does NOT deserve the death penalty, whilst those who admitted guilt to the crime, receive only life behind bars. It was in their best interest to vindicate Linda to avoid the death penalty themselves. Without their (criminal) testimony (which I find unreliable), there is not enough evidence to show Linda was even aware of the crime, let alone, to be found guilty of it. There is still opportunity to do the right thing by Linda and her family and avoid further irrevocable shame upon the State of Texas.Flag

Name: Fraser Macmillan on Jan 23, 2013Comments: As a fellow British Citizen I implore the United States of America and the State of Texas Supreme Court to intervene in this obvious miscarriage of justice and give Linda Carty a fair retrial. I ask the British Government to get involved and support my fellow citizen of the Commonwealth who has been overlooked by the United States Justice system and who's life is in jeopardy and in desperate need of Embassy support. Please do not let this woman's life end without a thorough investigation of her circumstances.Flag

Name: Ashley Smith on Jan 23, 2013Comments: After watching the documentary, I believe the case should be re-opened and everyone questioned again. I do not believe Linda should recieve the death penalty when the evidence is not rock solid against her. There are too many unanswered questions.Flag
