   Comments: I am a British citizen married to an American citizen and live in California. I really hope that Linda Carty gets a real trial for a crime she is accused of committing 11 years ago. The 3 accused only receive a prison sentence which I'm sure to avoid the death sentence had testified against her. As far as I've read on the facts I can't believe Brittain was never informed of this from the Texan government at that time when Linda was in court for the murder trail. This whole thing is a disgrace, along with the defense that never defended her at all from the start, she has to have a proper trial. There are plenty of people having a life sentence for shocking crimes committed that deserve the death penalty, but Linda Carty, no definately not.

    Comments: The criterion for a conviction, especially for a capital offence, must be "beyond reasonable doubt" and from what I understand this criterion has not been met. At the very least a retrial is required with adequate legal representation for the defendant.
