Name: Anonymous on Apr 27, 2009Comments: Please reconsider your actions and support local students and employees in Cardiff and South Wales. Whilst they may not represent such a lucrative opportunity for the University compared to other groups which you proactively target, such as overseas post grads, you have inherited a long standing centre which it is irresponsible to dismantle and walk away from.Flag

Name: John Probert on Apr 27, 2009Comments: Wales played a big part in originating education for all though the Methodist revival of the 18th century and the work of Thomas Charles and Griffith Jones. It would be very sad to see this faciltiy withdrawn from ones of Wales main universityes. It would be a tragic own goal - it would be denying our history.Flag

Name: Patricia Clark on Apr 28, 2009Comments: In a time of recession it is short-sighted to close opportunities for education. If the Centre for Lifelong Learning axes its Humanities and Welsh teaching there will be a huge gap in the educational and cultural life of South Wales.Flag

Name: PJ Lyon on Apr 28, 2009Comments: The decision to scrap the Humanities & Welsh programmes at the Cardiff Centre for Lifelong Learning is a slap in the face to the local community. This proposal should be REJECTED immediately and education given its proper respect by those in charge of the purse strings.Flag

Name: John Morgan on Apr 28, 2009Comments: I can understand economies may be necessary, but it is deeply disappointing that the University makes such far-reaching proposals without any arranagements to consult current and former students, and to offer to consider alternative proposals.Flag
