Comments: Please do not evict Le Madeleine. Not only is it a wonderful restaurant (in my opinion one of the best in the city), but its space is very unique and charming. I cannot imagine my neighborhood without this restaurant.

Comments: When I used to live in New York City, up till 1989, I visited Le Madelaine often. Whenever I go back for a visit, I stop by and meet my friends for a meal. It would be sad to see it go. Please revise your current plan and save this establishment of unique charm.

Comments: Putting aside the fact that Le Madeleine is a fabulous restaurant, enough reason for keeping it, it is als a beautiful space in the growing Disneyfying of the city. We don't need another chain restaurant in a cookie cutter box.

We cherish our places to be convial and have a strong opposition to "santify-/homogeneity" Please accept this as part of a community member for 30+ yrs as well as the tourists.
