As residents within the Lake Central School District, we are concerned about the further rearrangement of our “summer”, and that without any community input the Lake Central School Board continues each year to start school earlier in August.

We believe that other options are available that will allow us to maintain educational excellence while at the same time offering our students, families and teachers the valued summer time off.  We respectfully request that the Board look into these options for the Lake Central School District’s 2013-2014 Calendar.
