Name: J. J. Malinowski on Oct 23, 2007Comments: I use Langworth Post Office on a daily basis. I live in Legsby which is half way between Market Rasen and Langworth. I have to travel to Lincoln on a regular basis and the journey takes me past Langworth Post Office, so from that point of view it is a convenient location. If Langworth closes I shall have to use Market Rasen which will add an extra 10 miles to my daily journey. Langworth is a very efficient post office. Deliveries are reliable and prompt. I send a lot of parcels which are fragile in nature. I have never had a breakage when sending from Langworth. Whenever I have used Market Rasen the breakages have been 70 percent and rarely as quickly delivered as items sent from Langworth. Apart from that the postmaster is friendly and helpful and one feels one is welcome, unlike mardy, miserable Market Rasen where the job gives the impression of being a chore. The local community needs Langworth Post Office.Flag

Name: James Neville on Oct 23, 2007Comments: All this is the Government's fault for deliberately taking work away from rural Post Offices so that it can then say they're unprofitable and close them down. They say they want to protect villages and the countryside, but as always they're lying through their teeth.Flag

Name: Su Dawson on Oct 23, 2007Comments: Please keep Langworth Post Office open otherwise my sister won't be able to post my birthday presents! On a serious note closing the Post Office would make life more miserable for many people, it's the little things in life which make us happy and receiving something unexpected in the post from friends or family is one of those little things which makes a day a happier one. Who can afford to go on 4 bus journeys to the next nearest post office for an unimportant thing like thatFlag

Name: Julian Stumm on Oct 24, 2007Comments: What an absolute disgrace. The rural post office provides an invaluable and unique service to the community. Ours is a busy post office with a great deal of passing trade in addition to being well supported by the local population. Without the post office, the convenience store within which it is contained will not be viable and will no doubt struggle on for a while, then close too. The Post Office is right. It *IS* the heart of the community. We shouldnt have to plead not to have our heart ripped out.Flag

Name: Fiona Taylor on Oct 24, 2007Comments: Absolute disgrace perhaps the govt would like to fund the ridiculous amounts it is going to cost to travel further afield plus the waste of ones time, by the time one has caught 4 buses it will take a whole day to get to and from the Post Office.Flag
