The demolition plans for the La Grange Inn have been officially canceled. Our persistent pressure showed this corporation that our local history is not for sale. Keep your eyes on the property in the coming months to ensure the site remains protected.
The historic La Grange Inn located in West Islip, NY is part of our local heritage. It has been part of our community since the 1700\'s; now WALGREENS wants to demolish our local history to build a 24 hour drugstore when there is a 24 Hour CVS Pharmacy right across the street from the proposed location. We, the undersigned, neither need nor want WALGREENS in this location and promise to boycott all Walgreens stores and to educate the public to the immoral practices of this corporation.
Walgreens has refused to acknowledge our concerns about the local historic site. Post the petition link on your Facebook page today so they cannot ignore the depth of our opposition.

We have enough drugstores already!! Leave the inn alone. So sick of these big companies just tearing down everything nice in this town.

There are already empty storefronts all over the place. Why not fix those up instead of ruining a historic landmark? Disgusting.

My family has lived in West Islip for generations. This is just sad. Stop destroying our roots for a parking lot.

Too many people just care about money. That building is a treasure. Don't let them win.

Ridiculous. CVS is literally right there. Why do we need another one? Keep our history intact for once.
