I am a straight woman, married with 2 teenagers who have been taught from a young age not to dicriminate against people who are different. In matter of fact my husband leaves in April with the Canadian military to Afghanistan fighting for our so called rights. It would be a shame to lose these 2 young wonderfull men who have played their storyline so honestly and proud for the "mainstream" public just because they are different. I do wish Scott and Brett all the best in the future and it was uplifting to see their friendship in the last interview with Michel.Flag

I am extremely disappointed and disgusted with the current casting decisions being blamed on "focus groups". It's pure bigotry and cowardice. The diversity that has always been cited as one of the main factors putting OLTL above and beyond the rest is being chiseled away. After having watched this show for 15 years when Oliver and Kyle leave the canvas so will I.Flag

Name: Katherine Sherrill on Mar 12, 2010Comments: I am a longtime viewer of the ABC soaps, but OLTL is my current favorite. The Kish storyline has been one of the best things on OLTL and I hate to see it ending at a time when it still has so much potential. Oliver will suddenly be a father, it raises so many new issues: how will their friends and family react? will they move in together? can they both balance having a baby and their demanding jobs? will one of them have to put his career on hold and what will that do to their relationship? Dump the Mitch mishegoss, that storyline is what has been dragging the ratings down, not Kish.Flag

Name: Beth on Mar 12, 2010Comments: Not only does this show support a rapist, time after time, but they also had Mitch Lawrence consider having sex with his own daughter to create a child. And this is OK with general public? But a working, educated, loving gay couple is not? That's just about the most ridiculous thing I have ever heard. Not to mention, these are incredibly talented actors, telling a well written story. Yet, you are willing to keep really poor actors and silly storylines on the show? How sad that you think so little of your audience. I represent the core audience for this show...40's, married, purchaser of the household items, employed. Yet, once Kish and the actors who portray them are gone, so am I. And the way this was done also makes me reconsider any support I might give to ABC's primetime shows as well. Because, in my opinion you are just pandering to prejudice…instead of considering your audience that might be with you for up to 50 years, you are going for short-term viewership.Flag

Name: LisaLezotte on Mar 12, 2010Comments: I am not letting ABC/OLTL boot off Scott and Brett they love working together and they loved their job with OLTL. Kish were the only couple who were written so perfectly and the only couple who showed us the true love they have for each other and the struggles of what it's like to come out of the closet and of becoming a parent. Come on every gay person out there has these problems and Scott and Brett worked their ass off andput their heart and sole into their characters. Come on bring back our Kish. I mean it could have easily been Todd/Tea or Rex/Gigi that brought down the ratings and from the audience bashing about the storyline I am thinking that every gay man or lady goes through that in real life people making font of them. Please you guys will lose alot and I mean alot of viewers because you are booting off Scott and Brett and I know you don't want that. I mean Scott and Brett have that chemistry with each other that nobody else seems to have.Flag

To hear that is is coming to an end truly disappoints me! Unfortuntely it was stated that "But sources at the network say the duo failed to resonate with the mainstream audience". Well I am a female with a husband, a mother of two girls and believe that this story needed to be told so that our children can and will grow up knowing that whatever their sexual preference that they are to be as much a part of society and accepted for who they are. I guess we're not there yet, but we'll get there I believe it my heart! To Brett Claywell and Scott Evans. Thank You for doing such an amazing job and telling such an important story with such integrity. May you both have amazing careers and I look forward to following both of you in your future endvours. Yours Truly, Jennifer Goody-BrownFlag

Name: Maikhaah on Mar 12, 2010Comments: Left daytime about 10 years beacause everyhting was the same boring stuff. Got back into watching Daytime because of Kish. Finally saw not only a great and fresh storyline but also Great actors, that have great chemistry together and that can argue, fight, banter, bicker, make up and love each other and other but also other characters. Let's not forget that by losing Kish, you lose the chemistry between Fish and Layla and the playfull banter between the 2 of them. You also lose the relationship between Roxy and Kyle which was so wonderful to watch. I even hoped that Kyle would of been a long lost son of Roxy so that they could have even more scenes.Flag

Name: Keira Andrews on Mar 12, 2010Comments: ABC is going to lose a lot of "mainstream" viewers in their key demo, including me. Kyle and Oliver are the reason I started watching this show again after many years, and I'm so angry that the storyline is ending suddenly for no good reason. Two great actors and so much potential for compelling and groundbreaking storylines, but ABC just throws it all away. It's a slap in the face to viewers. Normally I understand storyline-dictated exits, but not this one. The fact that they just fired all the black actors but one also speaks volumes. I guess they think making Llanview white and straight again will improve ratings. They're wrong.Flag

Name: Kathleen Jessee on Mar 12, 2010Comments: I just want to let you know that the only reason I started to watch OLTL last year was because of the KIsh story line. I touted your network for the quality of the story and acting and brought more than one person to your show as a new viewer. I hope you will reconsider your plans to write them off, I think you definitely underestimate the impact of your actions. I can't believe that you would want your daytime network programming to become known as one that caved in to homophobia and religious extremism. I for one, will NEVER again watch OLTL after Kish's last episode.Flag

Name: Anonymous on Mar 12, 2010Comments: I think it is disgraceful that the producers and ABC are allowing this to happen. After 30+ years of being a OLTL viewer and a member of your supposed demographic that you are blaming this decision on, you will lose me as a viewer as soon as the last episode with KISK is aired. Much luck in the future getting people to embrace rapist Todd, boring John McBain and the ridiculousness that is Jessica's "17 again" storyline. And making Rex a brother to both Buchanan sisters does not make him a bigger draw or make us invest in him or Gigi .Flag

Name: Nancy Mathews on Mar 12, 2010Comments: I love One Life to Live. It's the only ABC show I still watch. I feel so strongly that I make sure to DVR on my TIVO and watch it that night to guarantee the ratings are captured for the daytime viewing. Kish is an amazing couple because they are so ordinary. They are just another star crossed pair in Llandview. The actors are amazing and the writing for them is nothing short of brilliant. To lose them and the future storyline possibilities is foolish and shortsighted. Educated people love shows like OLTL that don't talk down to them and educated people spend money that advertisers want. Don't lose this audience by writing this couple off the canvas.Flag

Name: Elizabeth Daly on Mar 12, 2010Comments: I am extremely disappointed and dismayed by the decision to write off Kyle and Oliver, the show's most engaging characters and couples. By writing them off, I (a woman in your key 18-34 demo) cannot in good conscience remain a viewer of One Life to Live, a show that I have watched for 15 years. This resonant love story is part of the lifeblood of the show and, as such, needs to remain. Keep them and you keep me. Lose them and you lose me as a viewer.Flag
