The administration has confirmed that the emergency meeting will proceed as requested. I appreciate the commitment shown by the two hundred ninety-one individuals who signed this petition to protect our department. We will now turn our focus toward the assembly to ensure our arguments are presented effectively.
We the undersigned support an extra Keele University Students' Union General Meeting to be held on Friday 25th March 2011.
According to item 23 of the KUSU Constitution "The Trustees may call a general meeting at any time. The Trustees shall call a general meeting on receiving a requisition to that effect, signed by at least 100 Members having the right to attend and vote at general meetings."

The administration remains silent regarding the future of the department despite our repeated requests for formal dialogue. I am currently organizing the documentation necessary to ensure that our petition meets the constitutional requirements for a general meeting.
