Charles Griffin0188601Helps. Over-the-air radio is controlled by large corporations who do not understand people's musical interests. Notice how long a song remains on the charts now vs 20 years ago and charts are by air play, not purchases.Capital Radio.us

Kelly Mannion6051002For me, it helps the music industry. At work, I can listen to internet radio frequently and will often hear songs I like and go buy the CD. Generally, if I just hear the song while I'm driving, I'm less likely to rememeber the artist.

Anonymous6019202I think it helps the industry. Even though I live in Chicago, I listen to radio stations from Los Angeles because they usually play artists and bands I've never heard of. It's the best way I am exposed to new artists

Marija6010601Helps, because I work in a basement and do not get regular radio reception and if I couldn't do Internet radio, I would not know which musicians cds I would want.weplayanything.com
Anonymous37042-466601It promotes more new artist that would not be heared otherwise. It offers music that is difficult to fins on regular AM and FM stations. The limit on commercials is a plus. The commerical radio stations from my home state of Ga is a real plus I can lsiten to it and keep up with what is going on while I am away from home.B98.5FM AtlantA Ga The stions from arround the world and from the army stations in Iraq are really good examples. Who would have guessed that a band of soldiers were that good.

Anonymous6005602It doesn't hurt the music industry, it's nice to listen to the radio station of your choice when you may not have a stereo or radio available. Especially the ability to listen to other radio staions from around the world. 65574 Mark de Guzman9583502i believe that internet radio helps the music industry immensely. There are millions of songs and artists and the majority of them would never be heard if it weren't for various forms of radio, and as it can clearly be seen, there is a shift in attention towards digital, and internet based media.

Emily2332102it helps the music industry because if people can find songs they favor online and if they cant find a place to download the song or they are too lazy to find the download, most people will buy the CD thus letting the music industry make profit.radio.keiichi.net

Betty Owsiak6001601helps because you have more access to music. to hear and buy. you hear something the title is displayed and you can buy it. on the radio they don't always say song titles and you want to know what song but you don't know it and can't buy it.9 fm chicago
Anonymous7993601As with regular radio, I feel that online radio gives the general public the chance to explore new music and listen to a broader array of artist; even more so than regular radio. Online radio also provides more variety than regular radio. With online radio we are able to hear music not only from america, but from other countries as well. Additionally we may hear artists that do not get played on regular stations. All of these things help boost the music industry. I myself do not listen to regular radio, nor do I watch T.V. Without internet radio stations I probably would not have bought the last 10-15 CDs that I've recently purchased.

Patrick Gould60124-850902It helps the industry. Especially the new and upcoming artists that really have no corporate backing or music label. To many to list here...
Anonymous1500501I feel that internet radio helps expose people to music that they might otherwise not hear and, in turn, helps generate additional revenue to the music industry through sales of music that often doesn't reach the mainstream. If the CRB wants to slash the music industry's throat by extinguishing revenue through exposure then so be it.
Jessica Wiese6017402I can't get a radio signal in my office so we use internet radio. If not for internet radio I would have no idea what new songs come out and hence not purchase new music!! So, no I feel it helps the industry the SAME WAY AS REGULAR RADIO STATIONS!!!!!9 FM Y 103.9
Anonymous9027802it helps it due to the fact that i can see the names of the songs!9 FM
Kathleen Tinker7502301I feel that the internet radio helps the music industry because people will here songs they like and they go download them from iTunes, or they will think they like the artist and go buy the CDs. There is not a way that the internet radio hurts the music industry!!This is basically saying sites like YouTube hurts the music industry because people put music up on there....There is just no point to try and ban these internet radios when they are only promoting different kinds of music so that people will listen, like the music, and have them go buy the songs that they really enjoy listening to!!102.1 The Edge, 106.1 KISS FM, Keiichi.net Extreme Anime Radio

antonio2787001its helps for persons who live in rural areas we are now able to be exposed to more genres and not limited to choices because in the past it was only one radio station in my area, now the internet has opened doors - i now purchase more music especially from regions outside of mine. therefore the music industry makes more money off of me because now i hear more artists and can buy their cds!!1 b/c i'ma music lover!!pandora
Anonymous91403-273201It helps because I hear music I otherwise wouldn't have heard before on the radio thus I have more of a choice to choose from. When I really like something I will check it out and see if I can find it online or in the music store. This helps me as an artist to reach more people as well! Im all for it. You MUST keep internet radio alive. It's good for the listeners... it's good for the artists.181.1 fm
