Shawn Gaines6060901Helps - it provides more opportunities for artists to get heard. I work 9-5 and don't have a lot of opportunities to listen to a wide range of music - free Internet radio allows me to get involved during the work day.
Anonymous6001502Helps. It gives people the opportunity to listen to their favorite station at work if it is allowed.92.7
Anonymous2840101Way helpful for independent artist, who cares about the majors.soma - indie pop rocks kexp wfmu
Lisa Soper-Borden9132102HelpsBig business ruins the independent, then turns around and gives us higher prices and terrible service along with terrible customer service. I will stay with the small independent companies every time.BBCanada - Net Rock Classics.us

Evelyn Newberry2415301helps tremendously, gives artists the chance to be heard by a wider range of people in various places
travis lyster2401101The air waves were free until they had to sell pepsi cola. Why should the age of technology that allows millions of people around the world to communicate not be allowed to speek the universal languge of music? When will we have to start paying for our own personal opinions?
Mark Grodzki6000401I think that it helps the industry by helping the artists to gain popularity. Internet radio also opens the user to more songs.

Anonymous6091501What's the difference -Does radio hurt the music industry ?????99.9 9 FM Is there any other?????
maggie kaminky6053801I feel that the Internet does wonders for all types of commercial sales. It's the fastest, easiest to access, and it's World Wide...hence the "WWW." It allows for people, including myself to listen to music, news, traffic, weather..while I'm at work. It's the best!!I think that every radio station should have the "Listen Live Now" feature. There are so many artists, song names, and albums that I would have never heard or learned of, if not for the internet radio listening experience. Music makes the world a better place, and should be heard by everyone!95.9 > We Play Anything 95.9 > The River 93.1 > WXRT 97.1 > The Drive

Eddie Miller7911801I believe internet radio helps the music industry by allowing a wider variety of musicians to be heard that normally wouldn't be due to the band being small.
Dr. David M. Wood9496001The music industry can only benefit by increased exposure of artists' works through play time afforded by Internet radio. If the industry would think long-term, rather than quarterly-report short-term bottom-line, they would realize where the true money is. Talk about shooting yourself in the foot! Situation normal...In markets out of the mainstream, such as Jazz, this is the only venue which allows musicians, and the music industry dependent on them, to be publicly introduced, nutured and supported. Otherwise, some forms of music would only be found in archives, or worse still, undiscovered, unheard, and lost to any societal conciousness. Where are the truly inspirational, novel and non-derivative forms of music going to come from, if the mainstream corporate risk-averse types of pap are the only forms available?KCSM 91.1

AnonymousI feel that the whole thing is a communist plot by the god damn united states of idiotsville to ruin the world, whether anybody else likes it or not, and the yuppy scum that thought of the whole dmca, crb and all the other shit, should all be lined up in a trench, and machine gunned with their entire families. i say, damn the united states of communism! My only comment is: if the lousy united states and its stupid yuppy culture gets away with this communist plot, i hope and pray they get something that'll make september 11 look like a little primpy doll house party for preteens. It will happen!smokinoldies.com, folkalley.com, hober.com, 1.fm.com, wfuv.org, too many to mention here!
