62852 Ron Bing60060-206801Definitely helps, I've doubled my downloads in the last year due to Paste and Pandora.Paste Pandora Any from Netherlands
62853 Diane Gross8532602I believe it has helped. My favorite era is the 80's, but I cannot hear straight 80's on the radio. I do not know many of the artists name from back in the day. When I listen to internet radio, I am able to find out who the artist is and purchase the CD, which I may have never purchased if it weren't for internet radio.Super 80's

62859 Jason Jackson8020301Most of my recent music purchases are of music I was introduced to by internet radio (SomaFM and DI.fm especially), so as far as I can see, the music industry is making more money from me with internet radio than without.SomaFM, DI.fm

62868 Michelle Hasik6096401I believe it helps. More people have computers now and it's easier to listen to the radio online while at work/home.
62869 Stan Wallis9538801Helps. I purchase music as a direct result of my listening to non-commercial radio on the internet. I do NOT listen to over-the-arir radio because of the commercial garbage. I hear and purchase music that is NOT broadcasted on ota radio.
62870 Daniel DunnWD25 0HX (United Kindom)02As far as danc music goes its a massive help as most producers do not get their music played on normal mainstream stations and do not receive much in the way of royalties. As for other genres its just fucking gready rock stairs and manurfactured pop crap.Armin van Burren - ASOT Paul van Dyk - Vonyc Sessions Sander van Doorn - Identity Mix

62872 Anonymous8571201It allows audiences to learn of new music and purchase it. Just as it's analogue cousin, airwave radio, it still serves the same purpose. It helps advertise new music and get the public aware & excited about musical possibilities. The more that industries limit these venues, the less money they will make ( less than the loss they have from pirating).Pandora, yahoo
62873 udo seiler3313001it helps the music industry, because some of the songs i hear, i dont know the title and so i look in the playlist and then i can buy it.i love 1clubFMhair-rock and trance

62879 carrie smith1170202it helps the music industry because it is an outlet for new artists.
62880 Jared Dunbar2203301Helps. Most local stations are owned by a corporate chain (clearchannel) whose playlists are chosen. Internet radio opens the doors for newer or lesser known artists. No brainer on the makes them more money. People will always be able to pirate music, and they need to get over it.The music industry "should" be worried about their industry becoming obsolete because of the internet itself. Musicians connecting, selling music directly to fans. If you can't beat 'em, join 'em.kexp.org
62881 Greg Stafford2087801Owner/Operator of Prog Palace Radio I find that listeners purchase more CDs after listening to the station. If you like diversity in music you can't let internet radio be controlled by big business. If this is done the choices of music you listen to will be limited to whatever they want you to listen to and not what you want to listen to. SAVE NET RADIO!!!Prog Palace Radio - http://progpalaceradio.com
62882 Anonymous6095002Helps; It allows people to enjoy music with more convinience. A greater appreciation of music can only have a good impact on the music industry.

62890 Eric Smith3361101I honestly think that it helps the music industries, there are a lot of songs that mainstream radio will not play that the internet stations play that really broadens any artists listening demographic.I cant believe that this has even come up, apparently congress doesnt want to think about the people who depend on internet radio for their listening needs since sometimes that is the only reception they can get in the case that they live in the middle of no where with no radio stations to listen to.1club.fm 93.1 the beat out of Miami baby....couldnt live without it!!!

62896 lori8412802Helps. The only radio I own is in the car, and it's primarily used for traffic reports. There just isn't a lot of music played during peak commute times. Listening to the radio while working on the computer used to be an option. Now I listen to international radio stations. Amusing, but not quite the same.
