When listening to traditional radio stations I often have no idea what song or artist is playing. With internet radio I can see who it is and research to listen to the artists other songs. I listen to the radio stations online and find out about new artists that I didn;t know about, and then either physically buy the album, or download it online. these are things you might not neccesarily listen or even hear on the regular radio that you listen to on the way tro work in the morning.	AND there isn't a broadway radio station for the Atlanta area, whether it be just regular radio, or online, so us Musical theatre geeks would be forced to buy stuff before we got a chance to listen to it and see if we liked it, and we wouldn't hear about the really obscure stuff that these stations give us an oppertunity to expiriment with. I have increased my library largely to hearing first. why would the music industry think that keeping music private would increase. the music industry is bringing thier own rope to thier hangin by shutting down free radio.		sky fm 50-90's rock songs as well as classical and flaminco guitar. large variaty found only on internet in wyoming :-)
62822	Anonymous	74402	01	Depends what you mean by 'hurt.' As the moguls try to silence it, they will force it to produce something they can't silence, and something of quality, outside their control. So it will only hurt them if they try to silence it.	I have purchased several recordings of groups I had never heard on mainstream radio. Tecador, Ian Davison, Los Fabulosos Cadillacs, Christy Moore. The stations I like play some of the mainstream, I think to draw folks in, but also a lot of quality music I have never heard before. We buy music that we would not be able to here in our respective nations without Internet Radio.	Internet Radio lets us hear of local events, find places to puchaces goods and services in the respective citys were family members live. Yet, the most important aspect of Net Radio is that it keeps our dilects more fixed so that we do not drift to regional speaking patters. In short, Internet Radio allows our children to speak to their parents and grandparents about the music,movies, places and times of all of our lifes. Low Cost! International Internet Radio is in each nations national intrest. Any language that is sung is sung in a pattern that is less difficut to understand that local house hold or familiar talk. Arabic for example can be heared on International Internet Radio making the tounge much less difficul to understand and gives one the contex, felling, mood, and beat of the language along with adds and local infomation. With the cost of learning the first 500 words of any language at more than 30 dollars a word real study is out of reach for most Americans. Plus, the first 500 words that come out of class room setting are not useful in the nation of the 500 words origin. So, if original local words are not low cost and can be had at the press of a mouse language study will become once again an strange affair inwhich one is forced to pick up the syntaxs of the first 500 words pronounced as if they were English and then get on a plane and fly to a nation to learn how they are really used in every day life. Do not turn the clock back! Keep International Internet Radio useful and alive. I did not have time to spell check. I have an XM radio and i constantly listen to 1club.fm or other internet radio. I am a member of numerous record pools and I live for music. I know for a fact that internet radio has helped the music industry. I am always buying new music and remixes. When I drop new tracks that wow everybody, which i heard through internet radio, I always get asked "what song was that? I want artist, title etc." I really think this helps promote the artists which in turn, helps the record labels. When I'm on any one of my 3 computers, It sucks to have to always change the song in your music library when the song is over and just hear the same old stuff. With internet radio, it's always changing & always keeping me productive.	All the artists that never get a chance to be heard on "top 40" radio stations can actually be heard and exposed through Internet radio. It even tells you who the artist is unlike "public radio". You hear a song that catches your interest... you want to know who it is. The majority of public radio DJ's suck... and alot of people know this. Through Internet radio, you can hear the song, see who the artist is and buy their music.	oh goodness... I have to many... but definitely 1club.fm because they have just about EVERY Genre and it's always great to just pick your genre.
