62760 mikel wallschlaeger4301601For a consumer and market force standpoint internet radio is expanding choice and consumer satisfaction. While both the congress and the companies driving the commercial radio business support these business dynamics when they favior their interests, this does not seem to be the case with internet radio because it does not serve the economic interests of both parties. As far as these isses are concerned, both parties are anti-american and self serving.I'd like to see legislation drafted and passed into law to protect internet radio from any more interferance from government and "big" radio. I'd also like to see the CRB decision appealed and struck down.

62762 Anonymous4632102No. Songs are not played on demand, so I do not see how it hurts the music industry anymore than traditional radio. If anything Internet radio helps artists make a name for themselves around the country.www.weplayanything.com

62767 Darwin Farkus7652801Internet radio has heralded a new Renaissance for do-it-yourself musicians. With focus being shifted away from the rigid and inaccessible channels dominated so long by the major record labels, smaller, independent musicians now have a collective voice dedicated to getting their work heard by more music lovers in the world than ever before. Please don't destroy this. Thank you, Darwin Farkus Pop Standards

62777 laurence f. bryan6060802helps, you can listen to more, and more varied, music, which makes you more aware of the options, and selections available within each genre of music.the only thing radio broadcast stations do diffrently is run their pieholes and run irrelevant commercial messages ad infinitum (both!!). The proceeds from commercials only go to promote bogus "air (head) personalities" and corporate profits, both sponsors and broadcast companies. The programming structures of commercial broadcasting has actually ripped-off supposedly public airwaves from the public, and prempted the music property-rights of both artists and the music production industry. Remember back in the 60s and 70s when we longed for "pay TV" so we wouldn't have to endure the interminable commercials. Well, look at what we've got now...$75.00 a month, plus the commercials, and more than ever!! I'm only worried that netmusic, my favorite part of the internet will be prempted by the same greed driven, self-serving, interests which have hijacked TV and Radio.
62778 Anonymous01I feel that Internet radio has helped the music industry. I, for one, listen to internet radio to find songs or artists that I may not have heard before, and to get more into their music. A lot of the time, I have found multiple bands that I ended up purchasing CDs or music downloads from.
62779 Anonymous6010302
62780 Anonymous9401901Absolutely not! Internet radio is a social networking phenomenon that leverages the well proven "long tail" effect to build online communities that buy and keep buying!dogglounge.com
62781 Jessica Wilderotter6017301it helps it.. internet radios are the same thing as public radios, when i am around a computer with out a radio in sight, i know that i can just turn on my computer & hear the same great songs online, not only that but by being on a computer it is easier to find out about the artists of my favorite songs right after hearing them. it makes a faster transaction time for me to buy their cds.
62782 AnonymousI'm in the UK01Internet Radio helps the music industry so much - through it artists can get their music heard - and if they're good, people will go and buy them either via download or go down to their local shop.I am a big fan of Internet Radio and have even tried DJing myself once on someone's station. It's gotta be Radio KoL.

62792 Jessica Clark3010202Internet radio doesn't hurt the industry thats for sure!! I mean, whats the big deal?? The internet is a great way for people to learn about new music, news and such. Why does the government have to stick their da* noses in everything? Why? Cause they want to tax it, they want to make money off of it!! How dare the American people or anyone for that matter, get something for free?!! Its totally crazy!! Always about control...but the fact is, NO ONE OWNS THE INTERNET!!! So stop trying to own something or control something thats not even yours!!Any radio station that can play any kind of music!!
