105 harry kettererPAUSI don't think the dam should be removed!!! Look at what the water level is like in Collegeville now that the dam is gone. Removal of the dam ruined the fishing, in that area, no matter what all the higher-ups say. These dams must be saved.

107 ColinNichollPAUSSaving the current dams will help keep the water levels, which is essential to preserving the current wildlife (fish, eagles, storks etc). I believe one dam was removed and it is noticeable how much lower the water level is and less wildlife as a result.

111 RickBrownPAUSIt would be a shame to remove this dam. It would devastate both sides of the creek. Hoy Park is the only waterfront park in Lower Providence, this park has a boat ramp where folks can put in a canoe or row boat and enjoy the wildlife on the creek. I have seen great blue herons, egrets, wood ducks, mallards, and many other birds along the banks. When I was a teenager we stocked this part of the Perky with fingerling Muskies which have grown to adult size and are occasionally caught to a fisherman'ssurprise. They are over 36inches long, they will disappear if the dam is removed along with much of the other wildlife. Lets think about what we are doing to our environment.

115 KathleenLearPAThe removal of the Collegeville Dam was devistating to our section of the creek, please don't allow further distruction by removing the Indian Head Dam!
116 StacieDalePAUSLet me know what else I can do to help. I'm a board member of Friends of Lower Providence and I applaud your group efforts to save this important resource to our residents. Good job!
117 lindahouckPAUSI don't expect the LP supervisors to be overly helpful to the neighboring families that want things to be left as they are. Many supervisors probably weren't originally from this area. My family and my parents were raised here. It seems the LP Supervisors aren't listening much to the people who these changes effect. Look at the Audubon Inn issue, the Grange Ave. bridge issue, and now this.
118 RichardRiehlePAUSI am still suffering from the loss of the Collegeville dam. The Perk will never be the same. We fought and lost to Collegeville. Good luck on your efforts.
119 Edna FaulknerPAUSThe streams are all gone where I grew up. Replaced by escavated land to build houses. Lets keep this to save our beautiful area. It keeps us cool it waters our wildlife and it's very scenic

135 ChrisEricksonPAUSWhat is the advantage of removing the dam? It's presence appears to be aiding more wildlife then it is hurting. No need to turn the full creek into a trickle.
