Name: Joanne Bromley on Aug 3, 2011Comments: Ideal is without one of the funniest, well written and entertaining comedy shows I have seen in the last 10 years, the wealth of talent in that show is more than BBc 3 displays in a whole year. The decision to cut the show is insane, and Ideal must be reinstated with immediate effect, I do not understand how something so genuinely funny, fresh and feaky is not at the forefront of the BBC3 flagship, rather than being axed because the new boss wants to have a cleansweep. This is where Ego is being put before entertainment Please reconsider Regards Joanne BromleyFlag

Is it a prerequisite to be blinkered n ignorant to great art? Mr Duff's 7 series have been remarkable and he is in a different class.Anyway I'm off,I've got probation later.Love to all xFlag

Name: Craig on Aug 3, 2011Comments: Utterly bewildering that this brilliant program has been axed by the BBC. I understand the new controllers desire to have a "clean sweep" but to get rid of clearly the best comedy on BBC3 is the action of a mad man. No doubt this program will be replaced by something of cheaper and less quality.Flag

Name: Scott Varney on Aug 3, 2011Comments: In short, Ideal is one of the best British sitcoms to be made in recent years. If veiwing figures were low then I would understand why cancellation may be on the cards, (the BBC are a business after all). However, with viewerships reported as being the highest yet, the decision to pull the plug on Ideal seems puzzling. Please give Ideal the chance to prove itself as worthy of a place on BBC Three.Flag

Name: Johnny Vegas on Aug 3, 2011Comments: Forgive me but I am in a state of shock. On days like this I wonder why we bother to strive for excellence within our profession when it can be so easily dismissed with no better explanation than merely 'making a clear sweep' BBC3 are throwing the baby out with the bath water. I applaud all those who've brought their own individual magic to the show over the last 7 series. We've had to fight our corner from the start, and we did so because we believed in IDEAL. I cherish the fact that there was nothing else like it on British television and I will continue to mourn it's passing for a long long time to come. I'm truly gutted and very bitter right now so I'd best leave it at that. Thank you to all our fans. At least you made what we did feel appreciated and we are all forever in your debt x Johnny VegasFlag

Name: Light & Bitter on Aug 3, 2011Comments: We're all for a clean sweep at the BBC...... get rid of Graham Norton, Dermot O'Leary, Jeremy Clarkson, Chris Moyles, Bob Harris, Jo Whiley and all the other arse licking sycophantic, self centred talentless OVERPAID no-marks who seem to populate the upper echelons of the BCC. Ideal is/was the only NEW creative spark the BBC have broadcast from their publicly funded dunghill..... Gold does so well showing Only Fools And Horses repeats and now it seems Ideal will be the next addition to their listings. Fuck the BBC..... it's time they listened to their wage payers or funded themselves. BOLLOCKS!Flag

Name: Michael Hawksby on Aug 3, 2011Comments: This show is worth the licence fee alone. Hope that someone shows some courage and re-commissions this show. The great thing about the BBC is it's diversity, not everyone is a fan of the mass popular main stream shows. This show is a creative gem and were I in charge, I'd be proud to have it on my schedule!Flag

Name: Grant Martin on Aug 3, 2011Comments: Ideal is the best programme I've ever had the pleasure of watching on BBC3. I have purchased every single series so far on DVD after watching on TV every year. Can't believe it has been axed. I respectfully ask the powers that be to please reconsider the decision and bring Ideal back in 2012, even if just for one final series to allow the faithful viewers the opportunity to experience a fitting and properly scripted conclusion.Flag

I haven't had a regular tv or proper tv channels since the U.S. government decided to FORCE EVERYONE to BUY a digital box. But I have the inernet and British programming. I love Ideal, the characters, the plot, the comedy..etc. Ideal is a great show. I don't understand why you would want to cancel it in its prime. People from all over the globe are enjoying it from the United States to Iraq. Can you find any two more opposite? If both of these countries, on the opposite ends of the spectrum can come together and agree on one thing, how can you take it away from them both? Let Ideal live!!Flag
