| 401 | Grant Crichfield | The Intervale composting project is a major asset for our community: it allows us to compost and recycle the huge amount of plant matter produced by this incredibly prolific northern jungle in which our city sits. For Fall leaves alone, for only 2/3 of my property, I send/take about 25 bags to the Intervale to be composted. It sure beats the method for disposing of leaves and plant matter many of us grew up with: leaf fires and attendant bad smoke. Please, find a way to keep this operation functioning! |

| 413 | lAURA TURNBAUGH | PLEASE KEEP THE INTERVALE OPENED! |

| 427 | Anonymous | I am very concerned about the closing of the Intervale Compost center. Vermont seems to be going backwards!
It is a wonderful example of Vermonters being green and decreases the use of landfills. Also, the company I work for sends truckloads of waste food ingredients there and I don't believe there is an alternative.
I regularly buy the compost in bulk which is good for me, my clay soil, local economy and cuts out the packaging and the fossil fuels to transport commercially available compost.
Please figure out a logical way to keep something that is such an asset to the community going! |

| 434 | Ashley Hall | Intervale Compost served as an important component of my environmental education during my time at UVM. They do such great work! Where else would our apple cores and pizza rinds comingle so happily? |
| 435 | Nicole Duch | The Intervale Compost project recycles organic material that is then reused in gardening. It's keeping Vermont green and more sustainable. |

| 437 | Azur Moulaert | The Agency of Natural Resources is correct about Intervale Compost Products having to abide by clean water regulations. If indeed their facilities are not adequate then fix them. What really puzzles me is that ANR instead of working with Intervale Compost Products on finding a solution is adamant about closing the facility. Why not use some State funding to fix the problem?
If we were willing to offer the Ticonderoga Mill paying for part of the cost of an electrostatic precipitator we should be able to come with a similar creative solution for Intervale Compost. |

| 440 | leanne ponder | Until six years ago, I lived within easy walking distance of Inttervale compost. I was always glad it was there, At this time when community gardens might save our cities, it would be a huge mistake to force these good folks out. lp |
| 441 | David McFeeters | We are the church at the top of Church Street in Burlington. We recently invested in compostable cups and receptables and our carter has brought a compos t recep tacle. Our congrega tion of 600 members was excited to begin compost ing. Please don't let us down! |

| 445 | Markey Read | The Intervale compost set the standard for this kind of operation in VT and has done an incredible service to this community. I'd like to know where the state was when Will Raap and those first brave souls starting cleaning up the crap hole that the Intervale had become. This move by the state smells a lot worse that anything that i have ever put into a compost pile. |
