Catherine SuiterThe compost project has been an enormous asset to the community, to the people and to the environment. Please find a way to continue it
Shannon Greenlese
Ginger GellmanThe compost project is one aspect of Burlington of which I am the most proud. Like many residents, I was really disappointed when I realized it might go away.

Evy SmithI use the Intervale Composting site on a regular and frequent basis. I am hopeful that it will continue to be available as one of the most unique "Green" options for recycling. This is what Vermont is all about afterall...Got Green, Got Compost, Got Vermont?!
Barbara Benton St. GelaisKeep it open. We need it to divert tons of material from the landfills!
Megan Malgeri
Sara Brown
Chris LaMotheTheir benefits to the community far outweigh any potential for runoff or pollution!
Erik BaileyThere has to be a common sense way to address the runoff concerns in a economically feasable way while preserving this important piece of the sustainability puzzle operational. Current concerns of solid 'waste' streams are going to require more facilities of this nature...not less!

David LanskyIf we need to move the compost out of the intervale then lets do several things: - ensure that the compost organization is paid for reducing landfill loads - find a suitable alternative site - give the compost organization time to make the move.
Mike CasaricoThis is what I like to call "a no brainer"
Phyllis Gray
suzanne legault-boutonI don't understand what the problem is with the hoop houses either. The farmers should be allowed to use them to extend the season as they allow water to flow through. We need to keep farming and composting viable in the Intervale.
Celia CuddyIntervale Compost provides such a valuable service, and I hope could remain open.
Julie SilvermanI fully support community composting in the Burlington area. There is a huge need for companies and organizations to be able to participating in diverting organic waste form our waste stream. I compost at home and currently compost at work at ECHO. We at ECHO need to be able to continue to compost for the health of our community and to educate others about the benefits of composting.

margaret wallace
Gerald J CouturePlease keep the Intervale Compost site. It serves many people in the Burlington area and keeps our neighborhoods cleanup.
Steve and Peggy LesageI feel this service is extrememly important. If there is any way to make this work it should continue especially when the state is trying to increase the amount that everyone recycles, composts, reuses.
Mark DinceccoI support this measure and strongly urge you to keep this facility open. Keep Vermont green please!
