Yes to all the above. And I love the accessibility it offers to small composters like me for our kitchen waste. |

| 470 | Noah Pollock | While the state does need to do its job in insuring Intervale Compost minimizes negative impacts on the Winooski River, I hope a more flexible, cost effective and efficient regulatory environment can be put in place that protects the health of the river AND keep Intervale Compost, up and running. |

| 474 | Peter C. Potts | Let's keep the intervale compost operation up and running. Please look at this problem objectively and leave the politics out of it. It's good for Burlington and the surrounding communities. |

| 497 | Ben and Anne Bosher | I have been using the Intervale composting operation to deposit my leaves, shrub clippings and branches for over 20 years, and i definately would like to see this non-profit service continue.
This is a valuable resource to the community by diverting organic material that would otherwise take up space in our landfills. I have to question the claims made by the state regulatory agancies that this small operation is adding to the flood hazzard of the Winooski River Interval. State government needs to get it's priorities straight. |
| 498 | Pat McKittrick | I am concerned about the amount of waste that will end up in our landfills. |
| 499 | Janet Kane | In my opinion, composting is a farming endeavor. As long as the intervale meets runoff requirements, it should be as legitimate as dairy farms that align our rivers. I do not believe that archeological issues should bear any weight, as the site is not being dug. Any archeological features remain in situ.
Time for ACT 250 to be reviewed for today's environment. |
