    Comments: The cottage belongs to the people of Cromarty. For NTS to close it would be a breach of trust - particularly if they continue to take income from their holiday cottages in Cromarty.

    Comments: A shortsighted reaction in an attempt to save money. Once closed and the collection destroyed it will never be returned. This is an important part of our Heritage and should remain so.

    Comments: As a former resident of Cromarty, and being totally indebted to the sterling work of Martin and Frieda Gostwick for my knowledge of Hugh Miller, I can say it is absolutely unthinkable that the National Trust for Scotland should actually fail to live up to their name by betraying the trust given them by the people of Scotland to preserve the legend that is Hugh Miller.
