We need the Capitol Records Tower |

| 215 | Duncan Gilbert | This historic building contributes enormously to the recognizable architectural landscape of Hollywood. Not only would it be sorely missed by locals, but would also make Hollywood less attractive to foreign visitors. It's tantamount to getting rid of the Flat Iron in New York. The money raised in the short term, by development, will be lost a thousand fold in the long term through less interest in Hollywood as a tourist destination. The building also adds to the land value of the area because of it's internationally recognized status. It's a landmark. |

| 217 | Peter Erskine | If I may add 2 points: 1) The Capitol Records Tower is as strong, symbolic and recognized an icon for Hollywood (and Los Angeles) as the Statue of Liberty is for New York...to build any tall building near it violates our city's history!, and 2) the echo chambers are the finest in the world! Respectfully, Peter Erskine (Grammy Award-winning drummer and Director of Drumset Studies @ USC Thornton School of Music). |

| 219 | David J. Holman | Do not destroy this landmark studios ability to make music for the next generation. Hollywood and all the world need to be able to see this landmark. We have to preserve these images for all to see. |
| 220 | Robin Kirby | Too many historical places in Hollywood have been lost due to poor thinking and urban planning. Please DO NOT let the Capital Records Tower and Studios become one of them for the sake of building more condos which can be built elsewhere. |
| 221 | Michael Aarvold | Capitol Recording Studios are an icon in the music business. Anything that makes it more difficult for them to conduct business at the highest levels of performance might well endanger the studios' ability to survive. Please do not allow a situation that could harm one of our National Treasures of culture. The facility is unique and irreplaceable. Thank you. |
| 222 | Gregory Epler | This is a national treasure. Pretend for a moment that you don't live in California. . . . |
| 223 | Mike Clink | Los Angeles can not afford to lose this historic treasure. |
| 224 | Alvin "Abbey" Brazley www.lo-boy.com | save the capitol records building at all costs/ this is one of our most important landmarks and should be givin a historic status and protected for generatins to come. this is also a pioneering studio facility with advances in sound production & productions hisitory rich and diverse. w appreciate and support all your effors and wish all the best to you and yours, alvin brazley/ Lo-Boy music publishing (NARAS, ASCAP, NMPA HFA Intl. | 225 | Hassan Bouhairie | I think it's terrible to try to alter or destroy a beautiful work of art such as the echo chamber built by the legendary Les Paul. Our government wouldn't allow someone to deface a Rembrandt or an Andy Warhol original painting. So why should they allow this? It's wrong. |
| 226 | Gary G. Horn | Please take what actions you can to preserve the Hollywood landmark being the Capitol Records building. It has represented Hollywood just as much as the "HOLLYWOOD" sign on the hills. |
| 227 | Francis | |
| 228 | PETER DOELL | As both a recording engineer (Capitol Records for 15+ years) and as a Los Angeleno, I cannot imagine living in a city where this could be allowed to happen. I continue to bring work to the studios at Capitol, and the "live" reverberation chambers - safely ensconsed beneath the parking lots - bring an unmatched level of depth to the music we make.
Please help restore some sanity and make this merely a bad dream for Hollywood - one from which we can awake to a sunny day again!
Thank you for your time,
Peter Doell |

| 232 | Gary Gray | Capitol Recording Studio is a Hollywood icon and as such is important to future generations of Californians...both as a cultural and architectural marvel! As a recording musician for the past 40 years I've been fortunate enough to perform with many of the great stars of American popular music who have chosen to record at Capitol BECAUSE of it's unique acoustics and great tradition!
I implore you to stop this condo project before it ruins an irreplacable building!
Sincerely,
Gary Gray

| 234 | Anonymous | Please respect the value, performance integrity, historic significance and the millions of dollars that this space brings into the city. Once it is compromised, it will be forever ruined. This development will completely alter artist vocal performance which is a real treasure intrinsic to Los Angeles. Say no now! |
| 235 | Dave Hampton | This is one of the original historic locations where ground breaking artwork was and still is being created. It is so significant to the landscape of the LosAngeles music community that many from the engineering community consider it a rite of passage to have actually engineered sessions here. Let's not let this historic location's life and contributions cut short by a parking structure/condo project!

| 237 | Zoe Thrall | Surely there must be a way to avoid the detrimental effect that the construction of 6230 Yucca will have on the echo chambers at the Capitol Tower. Destroying these historic "rooms" is like telling Julia Child not to use butter. Yes, there are other ways to flavor the food, but nothing makes the food as rich in flavor like it. |
| 238 | Anonymous | This is a MAJOR Hollywood Landmark. As a producer and musician I emplore you to please spare this landmark. |
| 239 | Chris McNeany | |
| 240 | Richard Gibbs | I have recorded many times in those hallowed studios in the Capitol building, as a sideman, artist, and film composer - these facilities hold a unique place in the pantheon of Hollywood history. I have also rented those echo chambers many times remotely - they are not to be disturbed! |

| 245 | Nick Dofflemyer | You don't know what you're going to miss, until you've lost it. By the time you realize it, you can't ever get it back. |
| 246 | Mark Wheaton | I feel that we have to recognize the value of the cultural history we have around us and preserve the most important aspects of this. The Capitol Studios are a very important part of American Musical History and since virtually all of the other classic studios have gone out of business and/or have been torn down, it is highest priority that this monument to our musical heritage be preserved. |
| 247 | Don Grierson | |
| 248 | Patrick Weber | As an engineer who built and maintained the record cutting rooms, edit rooms, recordings studios and echo chambers one shudders to think of this landmark being anything other than what it currently is. |
| 249 | Paul Horabin | The Capitol Tower is not just a landmark, but an icon. To obscure its view seems detrimental to Hollywood.
The chambers would be a great loss in this city where so many old recording studios have gone. Capitol is a strong link to a better past.
If the price of keeping the tower is the new condos then so be it, but do not damage the legendary studio or it's reverb chambers. |
