| 1153 | Anonymous | Please halt the condo project at 6230 Yucca. Being a member of the entertainment community which has generated millions of dollars for this city over the years it saddens me to think that you might choose to side with a developer over a landmark that has been such a large part of Hollywood for decades.
Please save the Capitol Records Tower from this project which would have such a negative impact on it's existence and it's employees especially now when the economy is in such a bad place. The last thing we need is more people out of work. If this project is approved it will put a lot creative people out of work.
Thank you very much for your consideration.

| 1154 | David Harries | Please respect the fantastic heritage of the Capital Studios building. Do not throw away this renowned International music recording centre for the sake of parking some rusty automobiles!
Many thanks from an English Recording Engineer. |

| 1160 | Judy Lamppu | I recorded at Capitol Records in 1958, while still in high school, and although my recording was only a "turntable" hit, all music recorded there is very special. I would do whatever I could to preserve this historic and valuable Hollywood icon. |

| 1162 | Brett Perry | Dear Councilman Garcetti:
To believe that construction of any type would be manageable acoustically is respectfully a lie. Its just
not possible. I understand Hollywood is in a re -construction phase that is beneficial to this city.
But to alter the sound of one of if not the best
recording studio in the world would be a short term gain - long term loss. If we allow to take away Capitol Records visually its a sincere tragedy. If we
ruin its recording facilities then we take away its spirit, its very soul - and I believe in no time it will be an empty building. It cant happen.
Thank you for your time
Sincerely
Brett Cameron Perry |

| 1167 | Jeff Kleinbaum | When does preservation of something irreplaceable, such as Capitol's studios, trump over "progress" and development? Maybe this is such an occasion. Let them build, fine, but not @ ANY expense to the studios. Compromise with 100% guarantees for NO damage or affect to Capitol. Do the right thing. |

| 1169 | Rosemarie Gail Keith | Please respect your city's History. I recently visited the Capitol Records Tower. It is an absolute treasure of great cultural and historical signifigance. |

| 1174 | Veronique Chevalier | While progress is to be applauded, it is also paramount that our shared heritage be also considered. Of course housing is important, but weighted against the unique historical significance of the Capitol Records Building, but I would like to point out that open space or a structure that does not create such a jarring impact to our cultural treasures would be much more in order here.
I understand that you have to appease your constituents, and that is not always easily done, but please consider carefully how irreplaceable the Capitol Recording facility is and how important it is to preserve such buildings for posterity.
Thank you for your consideration |

| 1177 | Doug James | The recording industry is an important aspect of Los Angeles. Sales are dwindling as it is. To force a major player in the industry to face cancellations and Producers to find other places to do their work is purely against progress and does harm Los Angeles as a whole. Please reconsider the approval of this construction. Thank you for your work in saving Capitol. |
| 1178 | Cy Godfrey | The Capitol Tower is as significant as the Eiffel Tower. It is one of the most important buildings in Los Angeles. Please save the studios and don't allow the building to be blocked by a nearby monstrosity. |

| 1180 | Anonymous | An icon in this city, identifiable around the world, how sad that it has come to this. Please halt the building of one more towering condo project. What are thinking with all of the traffic in that area and also what it might do to the echo chambers. I suppose the condo project would have underground parking that backs right up to those chambers- image the car alarms and the noise during construction. How about preserving some sacred history here folks! |
| 1181 | James Arnold | For those of you that don't get it already.... I have no words that will help you understand.
You apparently have no souls. |

This is a symbol and a monument, leave it the way it is,
impact of the current project is too risky. |

| 1185 | Tracy Vignati | Another condo complex? Is that really necessary? Please protect this piece of history. It is highly important to our industry. It's the greatest studio in the city! |

| 1187 | Scott Bomar | Capitol Studios are legendary, unique, relevant and absolutely need to be saved. The echo chambers located in the basement are the greatest ever built and could never be replicated. There is plenty of other real estate in this area to develop which does not have the same significance. Please save this landmark. |

| 1196 | Anonymous | As Hollywood's Eiffel Tower, The Capitol Records tower represents three decades of the most glorious days of LA's recording industry. Capitol Records Tower is THE icon of central Hollywood, and views of it should be unobstructed. Its studios are part of recording history and still provide a sound no other studio on earth can match. All the great Sinatra and Nat King Cole recordings were done there. This is enough for them not to be threatened in any way. CRT should be declared a State Historic landmark. |
