| 1101 | Frank X. Brittingham | Don't ruin our historical and National Treasures for any reason whatsoever. This is disgraceful. |
| 1102 | Morgan Paul | As an artist who has also served as a public official, I understand the balancing act that in necessary to have progress and established entities coexist. However, the arts define the very nature of a modern society, and indeed define LA. The industry is in peril in many ways, please do not let the mad dash to build, erase this piece of the cultural fabric not just of LA but of the world.
Morgan Paul |
| 1103 | Michael W Fitzpatrick | I have watched Nashville slowly destroy its musical heritage bit by bit for so called progress. With no place to return to our roots and regain our sense of history we are lost. The value of the echo chambers are beyond just money and as someone who has had an echo chamber destroyed by nearby (1/4 mile) construction it is impossible to blast without doing damage to the structures as any small cracks or broken pieces can cause changes. |
| 1104 | Lisa Sellars | |
| 1105 | G Limor | I am too horrified by the fact that this has even been allowed to reach this point. Where is the City Planners' common sense and vision? What were they thinking when they approved this condo project? Fools! |
| 1106 | reparata mazzola | This is one of the few historic sites left. In a city that derives major income from tourism and movie-making, why tear down one of LA's most recognizable and photographed landmarks. Please preserve it.... |
| 1107 | jenn lanchart | |
| 1108 | v spencer | |
| 1109 | David Alley | The echo chambers in this studio are iconic and must be protected. They are one of a kind. |
| 1110 | Doug Ansell | Build the condos - hell! I'll buy one - but leave the Les Paul creation! |
| 1111 | Anonymous | I support perservation of our heritage |
| 1112 | Neil Dobson | Save yourself from huge regrets over such an important part of Hollywood heritage. |
| 1113 | Neil Dobson | Keep great things alive for future folks to use....! |
| 1114 | Paula Springer | |
| 1115 | Joel Derouin | |
| 1116 | Narda Derouin | |
| 1117 | Lawrence Woodworth | This iconic bldg should have it's integrity protected and be preserved as a California Historical
Landmark. Born and raised in California. |
| 1118 | Hun Min Park | Capitol studios took part in the great American music history. The music that was recorded there brought joy and tears to people for many years.
There is an unique sound that can only be produced in that facility. A great part of that comes from the echo chambers designed by Les Paul. The sound from those chambers were used to create hundreds and hundreds of the worlds greatest sounding records, that has touched us all in one way or another. The chambers produce such a natural ambience like no other in the world.
The brilliant design by Les Paul has made it clear that when a producer is in need of a live chamber, it's always "Call Paula and see if we can get a room there."
If those chambers were to be harmed in anyway what so ever, it would be the end of a great tradition to the music industry.
It took too great of a role in modern recording science and is too valuable to be harmed by such construction.
Please understand that a recording studio is a facility that records and produces history on the spot, and that the recordings go on for generations and generations. We should allow the future generation to enjoy the great sound of the Les Paul chambers mixed into our records that we listen to every single day, hour and minute.
Please reconsider building something over what the future generation and current generation will most definitely not be able to recreate ever again.
Thank you very much for your time. |

| 1120 | L. Mitchell Toney | As a musician an independant recording artist, when I made my first trip to California, the first spot I had marked that I wanted to see was the Capitol records building....It is a symbol of the best music ever created, and I feel the most famous single building in California! |
| 1121 | Jerry Thompson | These developers have gone to far, its history vs greed, make them find another way and leave one of LA's landmarks alone. |
| 1122 | Anonymous | Please do not let this monument to entertainment and California history join the ranks of the long-forgotten, especially when it still functions as a thriving, contributing part of the business and community. |
| 1123 | Kaitlin Snyder | |
| 1124 | Lorri Snyder | |
| 1125 | Marsha Armstrong | Have we NO sense of history in Los Angeles? |
| 1126 | Anonymous | This is a historic site and a partof modern history. Save the Tower. |
| 1127 | Terry Rucker | |
| 1128 | Angela Treadwell | |
| 1129 | Shantih Haast | I have used these studios and mastering rooms over the last few years and have used the live chambers every time. There are no others that sound like these, much less any studios that offer live chambers at all. Condos can be built anywhere and are already everywhere. We are not only pleading to preserve Hollywood's history, but a still viable and functional resource that sets this city apart from all the rest. |
| 1130 | Glenn Ackermann | |
| 1131 | Ross Hogarth | |
| 1132 | Bob Bullock | |
| 1133 | George Van Win | Why does everything have to be reduced to dollars? The Capitol Tower isn't just a Hollywood landmark, it's a part of WORLD heritage, just like the Pyramids! Do the decent thing and preserve it forever, and don't permit ANY ghastly high-rise near it. |
| 1134 | Dan Ference | Capital Studios is a cornerstone of American music. Its facilities including the chambers have been used by people such as Sinatra, Nat King Cole, The Beach Boys, etc and these facities continue to be used today. Any impact too the Capital Studios facilities would be disastrous to the history and future of music. |
| 1135 | Mike Kemp | Those echo chambers are irreplaceable and should be protected at all costs. And I strongly agree that the revitalization of the Hollywood area should work to preserve and display the sights and landmarks that made it famous. Otherwise, it simply won't be Hollywood anymore. |
| 1136 | R. Andres Villamil | |
| 1137 | Phyllis Pastore | We've got to care about something! |
| 1138 | Frank Charlton | |
| 1139 | paul Zamek | The Capitol Tower is as much of Hollywood history and iconography as the Hollywood sign...it is recognized all over the world...and has been the recording home to some of the world's best and most beloved music...we can't afford to see it destroyed for the sake of yet another soul less nondescript office block.
Save the Tower. |
| 1140 | Charles Cutler | Recording engineer. Looking forward to working at Capitol Studios. |
| 1141 | Ron Jennison | |

| 1143 | Frank McGrath | The Capitol Records bldg is like the Empire State or Chrysler bldg in NYC. Every time I see it in magazines, movies or elsewhere, It calls to me all the great music I've listened to, produced at this site. It's a landmark cherised by many |
| 1144 | Dan Carter | Please, please let some sense of history be allowed into LA. Development should not be the be all and end all of LA's existence. |
| 1145 | Russ Brabury | Time to halt the slide in despatching musical heritage to the landfill. |
| 1146 | Malcolm Atkin | As chairman of the APRS (Association of Professional Recording services), the UK's Pro audio association I would like to add my name to the petition. Capitol Studios have a revered reputation in the US and is as well known as Abbey Road. It would be utter folly to risk losing it for a car park!! |
| 1147 | Linda Meredith | I buy music from artists who record here specifically because of the sound. Mr. Schmitt is a legend in the recording/mixing business and his opinion should be trusted. |
| 1148 | Anonymous | This IS AMERICAS HISTORY, can we keep it that way, please??? There's lots of money still to be made by these developers, just in other places... |
