| 63 | Amy LaCour | Please protect our living as musicians in Los Angeles and preserve one of our greatest landmarks. Check the recent Los Angeles Magazine to see that city-wide, Los Angelinos have voted the Capitol Records building as one of the four best things about our great city. |

| 66 | Jay Landers | Dear Councilman Garcetti -
I've had the privilege of working at Capitol studios producing such legendary artists as Barbra Streisand, Frank Sinatra, Julio Iglesias, Barry Manilow and Bette Midler. Not only is it one of the greatest studios in the world, there isn't even a close second when it comes to recording certain kinds of music.
For those who are not in the music business, it may be hard to understand the deep emotions one feels walking through the hallowed hallways of Capitol. You're really walking in the footsteps of giants.
Imagine discovering Van Gough's art studio...would you tear it down or do everything within your power to preserve it? Capitol Studios is the modern equivilent where some of the greatest art of the past five ecades has been created...and continues to be created.
I implore the Planning Commissions to use their best judgment when making any decision that would comprimise this world class treasure.
Sincerely,
Jay Landers

| 68 | Jose Cancela | In a world that is constantly changing and in which cultural budgets are constantly being cut, the Capitol Building represents a lasting beacon of excellence in the Recording Industry. It would be a shame to devalue this landmark in any shape or form for pure commercial exploitation.

The Capitol building is one of a few arguments that you can raise to that notion. Don't block the views to this building, nor affect the piece of musical history that is the echo chamber in that building... |
