| 254 | Brett Zoeller | This is an American tradition. I am a resident of Cooperstown and have seen the distance people travel from ever year to get a taste of the history of the game in Cooperstown. One man traveled from California to come see the game. People bring their families from across the world to come visit Cooperstown.
In a game built on tradition, history and records its amazing that Major League Baseball would decide to end a tradition in which many of the Hall of Famers have played in. It's every baseball fans dream to come to Cooperstown and thats why millions have over the years.
Taking away the game is not only destroying a part of Cooperstown. It's destroying a part of baseball history.
Major League Baseball you are making a big mistake and I recommend a a reconsideration of ending one of the historic elements of the great game you sell baseball to be. Cooperstown and the Hall of Fame game is one of the only places where the pure, real, old school game still lives.
Regards,
Brett Zoeller |
| 255 | Chris Zang | Please save the Hall of Fame Game. |
| 256 | Helen Riddle | This should never happen. How can the MLB do such a thing!!! It's tradition!!! |

| 259 | david fundis | Major League Baseball professes to give back to the community. The Baseball Hall of Fame has faithfully supported Major League Baseball for many years by preserving its history. The fact that the annual HOF game is going to be dropped questions the declaration "Major League Baseball gives back." |
| 260 | GLENN GRINTER | went to the game in '74 & '75 & '92...a wonderful way for young kids to be up close to major leaguers..a great tradition should be continued.. |
| 261 | Scott Keyser | attended every year since 99, keep it coming please |
| 262 | Steve Conklin | Make the game count as a regular season game. |
| 263 | Eve Cripps | It's tradition!!!! |

| 272 | Robert Quigley | ITS VERY SIMPLE, GREED, GREED ,GREED. JAPAN IS FINE FOR TWO TEAMS BUT NOT COOPERSTOWN AND REAL BASEBALL FANS. AGAIN PURE GREED,GREED GREED, |
| 273 | Rich Jantzi | |
| 274 | K. Wayne Bunn | Please continue with the annual Hall of Fame Game!!! |

| 277 | Chris Jensen | I first attended the Hall of Fame game with my dad in 1972, and it was my first introduction to Major League baseball. I returned the favor by taking my dad to the Hall of Fame Game last year. Please keep this great tradition alive so more generations of families can experience the thrill of seeing MLB players in the hallowed grounds of Cooperstown. |
| 278 | Tom DeLonge | I am a new member to the Baseball Hall of Fame but like many of us, a life-long baseball fan. My first trip to Cooperstown was 2 years ago and I fell in love with the community, it's passion for baseball, what it successfully represents in it's homage to baseball. In a world that is increasingly more pessimistic and complex, it is refreshing to find refuge in a place where dreams are still alive. |

| 281 | Anonymous | I am a Bostonian, and for more than 15 years myself and a group of our friends have attended the game and induction weekend. We have stayed in the same B&B in Cooperstown all that time and LOVE comming each and every time.
Keep the Game and put GREED aside MLB. |
| 282 | Casey Morris | I told my older brother a couple of nights ago about this, his response: "It's corporate bs and it's the MLB's way of saying screw the fans." |
| 283 | Tammy | |
| 284 | Angel Alfonso | This game is essential to allowing people in upstate Ny to enjoy major league baseball. The players are thinking too much about themselves and not the fans. Sooner or later everyone will feel distant from the players and more likely to watch other sports. Let's keep this game to show appreciation to the fans. |
| 285 | Dennis Kropp | I think you really need to re-think your decision. With all the bad publicity these days about baseball, you need to do something to try to keep on top of it. Canceling the game is a bad idea. Keep the game. |
| 286 | Kate Sullivan | Bud........Jane........what on earth can you be thinking?
Another tridition wiped out because of the almighty buck?? Come on........really you make enough money on other events and the summer crowd in general. So sad that money speaks so loud.........
Save the game.....See the big picutre for a change.. |

| 288 | Anonymous | SAVE THE GAME..........SOME THINGS ARE JUST WORTH MORE THAN MONEY AND THIS IS ONE OF THEM..............
I AM FROM NJ AND I TAKE MY GRANDSON TO THIS EVERY YEAR.......ONE BECAUSE I CAN AFFORD THIS GAME AND TWO BECAUSE IT FEELS LIKE HE CAN REALLY FEEL THE PLAYERS THE SITE IS SO INTIMATE.........SO WHAT IF IT ISNT A BIG FIELD? ITS IS SO MUCH MORE THAN THAT AND DONT YOU MAKE ENOUGH MONEY ON OTHER THINGS THAT YOU CAN TAKE A HIT ON THIS ONE VERY IMPORTANT GAME.......PLEASE RECONSIDER. |
| 289 | Joe Lepetich | It goes against morals to cancel this game due to lack of $$$$$$$ made in coopertown (not a scheduling issue as MLB has announced) !!! Do it for the kids.........I feel if there is no game.......no more hall of famers should be inducted until game returns!!! Take a Stand Hall Of Fame!!!! |
| 290 | Anonymous | Why not hold a pre-season all-star game there?
That way we could all have access and national coverage and promote the Hall.... |
| 291 | Aaron Cela | |
| 292 | Gary Sikkema | Cooperstown the Hall the game they are all linked by tradition. It would be a shame to have it all come unraveled. |

| 298 | greg baker | |
| 299 | Sharon Ann McGlynn | With all the scandals in MLB, the crazy prices for major league games, the indifference of
most players who make it to “the show” and the ‘business interests’ taking precedence
over the sport, no wonder our children are turning to soccer and other activities. Tradition
no longer seems to matter to the owners, only the bottom line. Canceling this annual event
where children can get to see their heros and upcoming stars close up in person is another
symptom of the greed which is taking over baseball. People come from all over the world to
attend this event, some saving for years to afford their trips. You have to be very lucky to
be selected for the privilege of purchasing tickets to the Hall of Fame Game but fans line up
early hoping they will go home with the treasured tickets. Please hope they will reconsider. |
