2202 Matt TelmosseYour best bet would be to find out who the land belongs to. If its owned by the municipality of Huntington Beach your petition is a great start. Getting the attention of the city council members, especially anyone involved with parks and recreation, will also help your cause by bringing this particular issue into a more public view as well as giving you the opportunity to present the trails in a positive way. And in all reality presenting a compromise is also an incentive for the city to reconsider thier current plan. For example: You police the trails during the day and report any homeless or underage activity and your trails stay. Giving the city a way to benefit from the situation gives them an inscentive to take another look. Hope this helps, Im a fellow rider who has dealt with simmilar situations and im fairly well versed in property laws, especially on the municipal level.
2203 paul kintnerWHY? Make them legal. It seems only some cities are more willing than others!

2208 andrew burkeI've seen places like Hidden Valley create some great people over the years. Guys who start here and end up doing great things in their community and abroad. It would be a major shame if Hidden Valley were plowed over without much thought.

2217 Dan GallowayI came to Huntington on 5 occasions from the UK specifically to ride at hidden and sheep hills. I had a fantastic time over there and made some lifelong friends. Would be a great loss to bulldoze the jumps, it will do nothing to reduce noise and undesirable behaviour. BMxers are not creating the problem.

2225 John ThomasTearing down the bike track and jumps will not solve the problem as other people will still congregate there. Cycling of all kinds should be encouraged as a wholesome, environmentally friendly, healthy activity not punished. All tearing down the jumps will do is create another group of people who hate authority so how about a bit of commen sense city council bosses.

2237 Moffatt PrescottI know what its like guys. We went out to our freeride trails this week to find what we have spent years building torn down and left in a pile of splinters all through the woods. Keep the trails open.
2238 Chris Scottthat's mest up, we need to keep the riding scene going and get it bigger especially the trails.
2239 Adam ChowskiBike riding tones the body & mind. What harm can our youth do to a few dirt piles. Any rider I've ever met is totally dedicated to the sport, and will travel for dozens of miles to ride a good jump. I can't see how leaving this natural area to kids who enjoy it, is not desirable.
2240 Cam LeafYeah, i've seen this place on vids, but i live in the UK. im signing this as i dont want to see anymore BMX spots being torn apart/closed! its really annoying. Well, hope this gets alot of signatures! youtube.com/Khaosshredder135 < BMX vids

2242 Jovanny Benitez
2243 Joe BrockDont plow the trails! Destroying the hard work of a few dedicated people is not going to solve problems that require social reform, and more police patrols. These riders need their hard work repaid with encouragement, not ignorance and destruction. Peace, love and solidarity.
2244 Trevor AshworthI have just moved to the Orange County area, but being a trails rider (From upstate NY), I know the pain of loosing what so many have worked so long for. I hope that with this support, we can somehow keep these trails open.
