Comments: Heanor is a thriving area,, the customers and businesses deserve better. Royal Mail insists on Quality, so why try and close it. What happens here today may happen to you tomorrow.

Comments: i object strongly at the proposed closure of this office Heanor just keeps losing office buildings and this is not good enough. The community needs a sorting office think of the over 55s whomi assume dont all have transport to get to ilkeston i will support local posties as much as i can ihope you get thousands of hits on this website !

Comments: I leave school soon and am hoping to work for the royal mail. but if they close the heanor office i will feel sorry for the elderly. they look forward to receiving parcels and packets everyday and im sure they will not want to travel to ilkeston to collect them. i dont think royal mail thinks much of its customers if they close Heanor.

Comments: Yet another example of supposed cost cutting at the expense of a local service. Has it not been noticed by the managers at the local Royal Mail office that Heanor is growing at a rapid rate There are numerous new housing estates which equals more mail. Also there are many businesses in the area. Presumably they do not want to have to go to Ilkeston to collect their mail The local office also provides jobs for the area. I am certain that many of the staff who live in Heanor will not want to transfer and drive to Ilkeston every day, thereby creating more pollution. How is the mail going to be delivered to Heanor More vans on the road Heanor deserves to keep it's own delivery office. Please keep it open!

Comments: We already have delays with both delivery and collection of our mail. We appreciate that the staff are busy and we do expect there to be some delays. However, closing Heanor Delivery Office will not help. Rather than this move increasing the efficiency of the postal service, we believe it will only make matters worse and generate unhappy customers.

Comments: Keep Heanor open, I do not want to travel to Ilkeston office for my parcels of if I have a problem. Heanor needs the business and so does all the other business in the area. Mail will be later and more will go astray.

Comments: If this office closes, it will be something else Heanor has lost. Royal mail go on about competition, well this will encourage businesses to use alternitives

Comments: I'm so FURIOUS about the closure of Heanor Sorting office! I've had a card to say that my parcel couldn't be delivered. I'd have to goto Heanor post office, the opening hours are during my work hours. My other option was to get it delivered at a different time! If I was around in the day I would have been able to get it delivered 1st time around! Now I've find out that as Heanor Post Office had had so many irate people they have moved the collections to Ilkerston! That's even worse for me! The reason the changed it also was because they were told they would have 50 parcels a week but they have had 540 in 10 days! Why have they closed a sorting office that as such a large turn over of parcels! Recently the postal service has been woeful! I rarely receive my mail before 11! That's pathetic! Come on Royal Mail! Stop shafting us because there's no alternative!
