One of the oldest and most respected graphic design programs in the UK has been recently shut down due to education cuts. The University of Wales in Newport is the oldest art school in Wales and not only is graphic design a well respected program, but just as well the other Art, Media and Design programs, of which also Fine Art has been cut. We believe that this is only the beginning. The University of Wales in Newport is restructuring at this very moment to become primarily a business school in their new 35 Million Pound building. It is very unfortunate to see how Art has no place in a fast living and money orientated society.
We kindly ask each and every one of you, to support us in this matter. We want to graduate in Newport and not only that we want the graphic design program to stay in Newport.
