Aisha Brown | Save Philadelphia public libraries because access to free information is the foundation of democracy.

Neil | The library is an essential public institution, please do not deprive your community of this safe haven for children, families and those who have nowhere else to go to access the internet, news, and books.
Tekima Jones |
Jennifer Hutcheson | Please keep these libraries open! I am a mother and knows how important a library is to our family and many others. Rethink your decision and side with the children. They are counting on you.
Anonymous | Absolutely terrible. Reading is cornerstone of Liberty. Philadelphia should be ashamed.
Anonymous | READING IS FUNDAMENTAL... CANT BELIEVE YOU COULD EVEN CONSIDER CLOSING THE LIBRARIES...
Pete Rosado | Public libraries are an invaluable resource to ALL communites, but especially those in inner-city areas. Aside from the educational factor, it provides internet access to those who cannot otherwise afford it. Please reconsider the pending decision to close these assets to our children and adults alike. Thank you -Pete Rosado

secundra beasley | Libraries are a necessary part of the community. Just like the police and sanitation departments. Without them, life as we know it becomes harder. Keep plugging away to keep the libraries open.

Tanesha Douglas | I am high disappointed that the city of Philadelphia would even entertain the idea of closing down libraries. This is absurd and should be stopped immediately. Citizens of Philadelphia, especially students and children need a place to foster the growth of their minds. In my opinion, there is no other place to do this other than a library where they can read books from all different genres. I sincerely hope that this petition halts the closing of the libraries and the laying of library staff.
Dani | It is tragic and unamerican that anyone would even consider completely taking away the rights to free knowledge, entertainment, and support from those in such a fine community as Philadelphia, or anywhere else for that matter!
Adam Hernandez
Isaac Holloway | it what world does it make sense to close libraries which provide essential service to their communites. You ought to be ashamed
