Francisco has been in the U.S since he was 8 years old. He was loved by many and was very passionate about children, religion and animals. He would teach a bible class to toddlers and would shelter stray/injured animals. Two weeks after he graduated Burbank High School ICE took him into custody and locked him away in Pearsall, Texas. He was taken away from his family and fiance unexpectedly. He was on Probation for a minor marijuana charge in high school. He passed all his monthly drug tests even the one he took when he got caught. At the time Francisco was giving into peer pressure and just thinking in the moment. He now regrets what he has done and wants to make something of himself. He as dreams of going to college and becoming a Veterinarian. Francisco had an unfair trial when he was convicted. Francisco's appointed lawyer failed to mention he would be at risk of being deported if he plead guilty/no contest. The lawyer wanted to get Francisco's case out of the way without any struggle from him so he didn't mention that and by law he was suppose to. So unaware if the results Francisco plead no contest.Francisco has been in jail for 5 months now for a joint of marijuana and is at high risk of getting deported. The judge has refused to lower the bond and is at a max of $30,000 dollars but yet the judge has lowered bonds for inmates who have assaulted cops/civilians,pretty much anyone with more severe crimes than Francisco. This is unfair treatment and the only way to move forward is to re-open the marijuana case and lower the bond. Please sign this petition to keep Francisco from getting deported and to agree that Francisco should be released. Francisco is a good person and has done more than enough time for a joint of marijuana. He made a mistake but that doesn't mean he is a bad person. Give Francisco a chance because everyone deserves one.
