Multiple sources have reported that the Fort Ross State Historic Park is in danger of being closed due to state budget cuts. We urge you to spare Fort Ross from such misfortune. This old, enchanted place is an important cultural landmark in Russian-American relations. It is very dear not only to Russians living in America, but also to all people who appreciate California's rich and diverse past, which became the solid foundation and welcoming ground for many people who came to this wonderful state over the past several decades.
