Haringey Council finally backed down and declared the allotments protected for good. They tried to pave over our community but they crumbled under our pressure. Keep watching them because we are not going anywhere if they try this again.

Final supporters
The allotments by Fortis Green Reservoir, Tetherdown School and Woodside Avenue, in Muswell Hill, London N10, ARE UNDER THREAT. OUR PETITION: We call on Haringey Council, Thames Water and any prospective owner of the Fortis Green Reservoir Allotment Site: a) to ensure that the land is not given over to housing development b) to maintain its status as Significant Local Open Land c) to maintain its current use as allotments, and to enable more allotments to be created d) to allow greater community use (for example, in conjunction with local schools and community groups).

Haringey Council and Thames Water think they can steamroll us while we sit idle. We are nearly at one thousand signatures and I need every single one of you to blast this to your networks right now so we can hit that mark and force them to look at us.

Concrete everywhere. We need to save what little nature we have left in N10.
i have lived here 30 years and these plots are a huge part of the community. stop the developers.
My kids walk past here every day on the way to school. Keep the green space please.
Muswell Hill is getting way too crowded. Leave the allotments alone!
Utter madness to build here. The area needs these gardens for the local wildlife and people.

These are situated alongside a lovely path that so many people enjoy. They cannot go!
