Name: Kathryn M. Hurley on Aug 4, 2007Comments: please do not move the operations out of the FLINT P&DC...I do not want to have to have such a negative impact on the quality of service to our customers. Besides the fact of health and well being of the employees that would have to drive between 40-100 miles one way to get to work. Where is the quality of life going to beFlag

Name: Kathleen Gibbs on Aug 5, 2007Comments: Please stop the consolidation of the Flint P&DC plant with Pontiac! So many things will be affected, like mail being delayed, Flint city income tax going to Pontiac and employees that already have an hour drive to work that will probably double. PLEASE HELP US SAVE OUR PLANT!! With sincere regards. KS GibbsFlag

Name: DELBERT FUWELL on Aug 6, 2007Comments: I have worked at this office for 30 years and we have always been number 1 in every aspect of serivce and commitment. Moving to Ponitac would lower our service commitments and in turn would make our customers unhappy. In todays age the USPS cannot afford to lose more customers to the internet. The city of Flint and the USPS employees cannot afford to leave this area. The city of Flint has suffered enough job lost. Keep a good thing and great employees here!!Flag

Name: Robin Foreman on Aug 6, 2007Comments: I work at out local community college and I feel that extending the delivery time of our mail to our students could sorely hinder our operations. If a student is about to be dropped from their classes, we have depended on our local postal services to get the news to them in a timely fashion. Pending outstanding circumstances, our Flint Post Office has always been there for us. Our students also are dependent on the timely delivery of the loan checks and financial aid status. I'm sure Pontiac would do the same excellent job, it could mean great hardship for those students who are holding off eviction on these same distributions. Please don't take our local post office from our community. Hasn't enough been take from us alreadyFlag
