Comments: As someone who has been a guest lecturer of the department, I can only say I was deeply impressed by the members of the faculty I met -- with their perspicacity and lively engagement with the discipline(s) in question, but even more than that with their deeply evident commitment to the welfare and full intellectual unfolding of their students. What a shame it would be to see this department vanish!

Comments: The absence of a women and gender studies department would impede the thinking of students at FSU, especially those NOT ENROLLED in the program. To hide this discipline from FSU students is to under-prepare them for the world they live in.
