Comments: Even though I was not in the enameling major, I was proud to have it as part of my school. To have such a unique major with such a long history at CIA is truly special, and I would be greatly saddened to see it go.

Comments: I am a graduate of the CIA Class of 06 and I currently teach in the continuing education program. I have always been proud that we have an enameling program and would hate to see it be lost. PLEASE DON"T SHUT DOWN THE PROGRAM!!! It would be a huge loss to the school and with all the changes that have being going on since I left I would hate people to think that CIA is going downhill. The work that comes out of enameling has always been incredible if enrollment is low maybe the school needs to do a better job of marketing the major. Thanks

Comments: The primary reason why my daughter has become a successful practicing artist is due to her majoring in enameling at CIA. When she first chose this major my husband and I had no idea how far her expertise in this craft would take her. She made the right choice for her; receiving both an outstanding education and mentoring from the enameling staff. In fact, I believe that the smaller department was a major factor for her success both at CIA and now in the business environment. It would be a shame to limit the goals of the enameling department by merging in into the other department.

Comments: i took enamaling.. good times.. please CIA, do not throw away the broad scope of experiences available to CIA students.. honestly- it was not one single teacher at that school that influenced me but rather i gained via exposure to many.

Comments: it would be a shame to disregard something that is unique to CIA. It would be naive to think merging departments would do any service to the students in Enameling and Jewelry.
