We the undersigned refuse to allow the semi-destruction of a quality educational establishment in our community. We strongly object to Flintshire County Council’s intention to remove further education facilities in our town. Not only do the council intend to close our sixth form, forcing local students to travel up to 30 minutes away to colleges via increasingly expensive public transport, but they intend to allow our school to be infiltrated by businesses and unchecked members of the public to exploit the space in our classrooms. It is in fact the council who have given permission for the building regulations and increased housing in the Buckley area, so why are they failing to provide decent education for their constituents? With the birth rate and population of the massive community of Buckley rising, it is evident that we are putting our children’s future learning at risk. Eradicating our education would be a betrayal of our community.
