Comments: I am very new to plainfield but I can tell you from observations at my kids 3 different high schools in the last 5 years that Dr Pasteris has a very positive influence on the kids and is very involved in all activites. He is a great role model. Not knowing the circumtances I am puzzled why a man whom most if not all people respect and like did not get his contract re-newed. In a time when it is all about people the board needs to set differences aside and reconsider its position on this matter.

Comments: I'm an 8th grader who will be attending South in the Fall and was at the Board Meeting when they voted Dr. Pete out. I couldn't believe it!!!!!!! I've been at North because my Mom used to work there, and I really think that school is awesome. Dr. Pete is an inspiration to his students and is a great role model. I don't understand why they would vote out such a great Principal. What is the reason for his leaving I believe that the Board should listen to the students who attend the school rather than just being selfish. There are a lot of Principals in the District, and why are they targeting Dr. Pete. Is it because of his great leadership qualities Who knows. Please reconsider your vote and make the right choice to reinstate Dr. Pete!

Comments: Dr. Pete's dedication to the students and staff of PNHS has been second to none. His heart is in this school and you don't have to know him well to realize it.

Comments: Our school board represents and serves our Community, they need to report to us their reasons for their decisions. If they cannot provide "just cause" then how can they not reinstate Dr. Pasteris It seems to me that there is much MORE 'just cause' for the Plainfield Community to not reinstate (some of) our school board!

Comments: I cannot understand how the Plainfield School Board can make such an egregious error voting not to renew Dr. Peter Pasteris’ contract. If their decision were truly based on performance and educational goals and expectations, then there is no valid justification for their decision as Dr. Pasteris has done nothing but cultivate an environment for students to excel in school, which is demonstrated by Plainfield North’s higher test scores over Central and South. I have known Dr. Pasteris for the past 3 years, and I have not met another Principal with greater enthusiasm, compassion, vision, and dedication toward the students, parents, and staff. Unfortunately, Dr. Harper, the District Office Administrators, and the four members of the School Board who voted against renewing Dr. Pasteris’ contract decided to put their own personal agenda ahead of what is best for the students and the Plainfield Community. The contract that should not be renewed is Dr. Harper’s as he is a divisive force in District 202 and stands in the way of our community’s expectations for a thriving, successful educational standard across the district.

Comments: I do not usually get involved in petitions but I strongly disagree with the decision to not renew Dr. Pasteris' contract. our experience at PNHS has been very positive and I cannot say the same when we had a student at the other high schools in Plainfield. stop making political decisions that cause us to lose quality administrators...in the end our children pay the price and our scores continue to be less than satisfactory.

Comments: Dr. P is one of the most involved principals that I have ever seen, He is always at student events cheering his students on, our test scores are good, the building is run well, and most importantly the children love him. Due to boundry line changes and new schools being built many of our children have already had to deal with so many changes in their education. This is one change that is totally unnecessary for them to have to deal with. Why are we trying to fix something that is not even broken. It makes no sense at all. Maybe the school board is what is broken or the position of superintendent needs to be changed. I hope people remember this when it comes time to vote for our next school board.

Comments: Dr. Pasteris is always there for the students. I have seen him at many bowling matches - I never see any other school administrator participating as much as he does. It is a shame that the people who voted against him wouldn't state their reasons for their decision.

Comments: Dr. Pasteris is the coolest principal I've ever known. I actually know who he is, not like at Central or any other school where I didn't even know the principal because they never got involved with the students. He's freindly and generous and he set so many awesome traditons at PNHS. WE LOVE DR. P!!!!

Comments: Dr. P is an awesome principle. he's always in the hallways saying hello to everyone and doing everything he can to make his students happy and at the same time helping them learn and grow through proper dicipline when needed and by provideing them with well trained teachers. it would be the worst decision ever made to terminate him as principle. im about to graduate so i can say that my high school carreer at PNHS has been awesome with the help and encouragement from Dr. P!!!!! YOU ROCK DR. P!
