As a student, I have never witnessed such a dedicated, friendly, and honorable administrator, and am heartbroken that he is being forced to leave the school which he so passionately cares for, and built from scratch. I have never seen a school achieve so many accomplishments and honors so quickly as Plainfield North, and I am certain that Dr. Pasteris is largely responsible for that. How many other high school students in other schools and districts can say that they have actually had a conversation with their principal, and feel comfortable seeking his advice and assistance? Dr. P is always there each and every morning to greet and welcome his students into a positive and goal-oriented learning environment. He has performed wonders for this school, and it simply will not be Plainfield North without his dedication and involvement. He is present at each and every athletic and extra-curricular activity, and he is always willing and pleased to make himself available to the students and parents of the community. He is a kind-hearted man, and does not deserve to leave. The students, faculty, and parents have gotten to know and appreciate Dr. P in a way that school board administrators never could. They do not interact with him on a daily basis, as myself and other school mates do. I am honored to have had him as my principal, and am ashamed that he is being dismissed. Thank you so much Dr. P for making Plainfield North the wonderful school that it is, and being a supportive, receptive leader to all of those whom look up to you. Your impact will not be forgotten. |

| 65 | Anonymous | What is happening to our School District? I was always so proud of the schools my children attended; however, all I ever hear now is how another great teacher, Assistant Principal, Principal (or secretary, for that matter) has left the District or was forced out of the District. Have these District Administrators who live in their ivory tower on Howard Street been out of the school environment so long that they have forgotten the meaning of a true educator/leader? Have they forgotten that the reason they decided this career path is to educate and motivate these young adults to be responsible, respectable, and productive members of society? I have seen Dr. Pasteris with our students of PNHS, and I cannot believe that anyone on our School Board would ever vote to have his contract not renewed! Our kids love PNHS because of Dr. Pasteris! They excel at PNHS. They feel safe at PNHS. Can you remember your Principal when you went to High School? I know we all wish we had a Principal like him!! None of this makes any sense!! I thought these Board Members whom we have elected were the "voice of the community;" however, on Monday night, those members who voted him out were not the "voice of the community," but the voice of a select few who seem to have ulterior motives/agendas? Were their negative votes based on their own investigation of our Principal, or 2nd hand information that was served up to them on a dinner plate and served to them? Did those Board Members ever spend any amount of time in our school and see first hand how our school is run? Did they take the time to interview staff, students, and parents before making their decision? Or, did they base their decision on information that was just served up to them. I know that we've all been told that the District/Board cannot comment on "personnel" matters. I do somewhat understand this; however, I certainly would hope that before those Board Members rip our Principal out from underneath us, that they would have behaved like responsible Board Members and conducted a full blown investigation for themselves and interviewed every single staff member in our school before making such a drastic decision. Now, I'm not talking about having the District Administrators interview staff - I'm talking about the Board Members giving the respect that our PNHS staff deserve and interview every single one of them on a confidential basis. I always hear about how District 202 Employees are afraid to speak out because they fear for their jobs. Why is this? Doesn't the Board hear this? I know we all do!!! Doesn't the Board care? How would the members of our Board feel if the shoe were on the other foot? How would they feel that if in their "day jobs," so to speak, that they were so hastily removed from their positions based on 2nd hand information? Is the Board so naive that they believe only the information that is reported back to them? If, however, their decision was based on 2nd hand information, then I believe that as a responsible Board Member, you owe it to the students, staff, Dr. Pasteris, and the entire Plainfield community to reopen this case and investigate it for yourselves! I believe as a community, whether you're a Northsider, Southsider, or Central parent, we need to unite because let's face it, this type of situation is happening all over the District, not just at PNHS. Do we really want our community to have the reputation that we do not support our Principals or teachers? How can we attract excellent educators for our children if our District has the reputation that District Office Administrators take pride in threatening our Principal's and teacher's jobs? Let's stop this insanity and reinstate Dr. Pasteris! |

| 69 | The Kramer Family | We moved into the Plainfield School District several years ago because we wanted better schools for our childern. Plainfield initially had a great reputation for the best school district around. What has happened? ? Don't you see what you are doing to North by ripping Dr. P's position from under him? He has made PNHS into the best high school in Plainfield, I don't beleive it would be where it is today without him being in that postition! Please tell us how he could be doing such a bad job? Let's here it. How are these children going to have any sense of confidence in their school at this rate? The politics are seriously ridiculous in Plainfield. We will be praying that you reverse this situation! Swallow your pride and hear the the voice of the parents and children. If you won't do that then you need to educate us on the decision for this, because at this point it appears to be straight up politics.. |

| 73 | Shestine Gesbocker | I urge you to keep him at Plainfield North. |
| 74 | Gina and Joseph Porter | This is unfair and not right. What exact reasons are there for the non renewal of his contract?? The parents and kids have a right to know. |
| 75 | Katherine Johnson | He has done a fantastic job with this school, and he is always there for the kids. We WANT him back!! |

| 80 | Jeff Anderson | It is very disappointing to see a man that stands for better education, values and discipline lose his job for what appears as no particular clear reason.
When a Board vote ends 4-3 in favor of terming Dr. Pasteris I question why the entire Board is not on the same page as to what is best for our children. Dr. Pasteris has made Plainfield North a school where the students are excited to be a Tiger and wear the Crimson and White with pride. |
| 81 | Mary Caliendo | Dr. Pasteris really loves the kids and the school, you are making a terrible mistake not reinstating him, I school district will suffer a great loss, as well as North, please don't let politics stand in the way . |

| 85 | Stuart Bledsoe | We are losing a great man for this district. Lets do what we can to save him |
| 86 | Pat Bledsoe | I truly believe that Dr. P Pasteris is the right person for the job. I have watched in this district what politics has done over the years. It always rears it ugly head. If you were to look back at all the Principles and staff that have put forth an effort to succeed THEY ARE GONE. If you are well liked and do a great job seems you are given the boot. If you are too well liked and make an impact YOUR GONE. This community needs to wake up to the politicing going on in this district. We elect these Board Members to speak for US . For any of them to think different SHAME ON THEM. We need to do the right thing for all the kids in the district and be heard. Support our Principle at PNHS |

He doesn't make us feel like we are just robots there expected to listen to every command we are given. This acpect about him makes me and many others respect him so much more then anyone else who will ever run out school. |
