Our goal is to keep Torri Higginson, who plays Dr. Elizabeth Weir, as a REGULAR cast member of Stargate Atlantis. Executive Producer of Atlantis, Brad Wright, has stated in a recent online interview that "Torri will be back for some period of time. As a recurring character." We, fans of Torri and of Dr. Weir, are not happy with this latest development. Elizabeth Weir is an extremely important - and popular - character of the show. She is much more than just the leader of Atlantis. She has a great friendship/relationship with every single member of her team. She cares about her people and weighs each decision she makes with great care. We have enjoyed every aspect of the character of Dr. Elizabeth Weir, and we want to see her on the show as a regular character. Not a recurring one. Save the leader, Save the show!
