Ragan Davis | I could not agree more. This is an outrage. And I eat in the Longworth Caf. every work day I am here. This is beyond ridiculous!
Joe Brettell |
Toni-Marie Calabrese | We should suspend Restaurant Associates for this!!!
Lisa Teschler |
Elissa |
Jeni Healy | Doris has always extended nothing but the best customer service to me! I ask that you reinstate her as soon as possible.
Carolyn Amirpashaie |
Chastine Hulsey | This is the DEMS fault!!
Kristin Walker |
Brigitta Johnson | Doris's attention to detail and complete focus on customer service encouraged me to spend more money in the longworth cafeteria than any other cafeteria in the house office buildings or the local eateries on the hill. I already dislike the new Restaurant Association food, please don't force out all the fantastic employees that make this place feel like home.
Carolyn Wise | I love Doris!
| 12 | Michael Frohlich | DC.
She can put a smile on anyone’s face, regardless of what they are going through, and always make a trip to get some food that much more enjoyable.
I think the managers should have looked at Doris' line; people would wait in line just to say hi, rather than going through another line to zip through. There is something to be said about someone’s character to illicit such a following in a fast paced environment such as the Hill.
The Restaurant Associates do not realize what a resource she is. |

Lucy | This is an outrage. Doris is like our mother. We are a family, and they are ripping us apart.
Anonymous | People who enjoy their work and go out of their way to make sure customers are satisfied should be rewarded. Doris brightens everyone's day and genuinely shows a happy spirit that is content with her work.

Kathleen Black | Doris's line is longer than the other lines because it is worth the extra few minutes to pay my money to a sweetheart of a person. Please bring her back!!

Anonymous | OMG, $9! Really? Can I just mail you a check for her? PLEASE!
Chris Paulitz | Ya, a woman as sweet as Doris, who has worked at the same job for decades, would risk her job for $9. Right.
Mary O'Connor |
Katherine Lowry | Suspension without pay is a punishment that does not fit the crime.
Lisa Pittman |
Harry F. Burroughs | Our CAA should immediately reinstate Ms. Doris Cherry and fire the Restaurant Associates.

Tommy Papageorge | I actually have worked with Ms. Cherry when I was employed with Guest Services and would very much like to see her reinstated.
Jack Coleman |
Conwell Smith | O have known Doris since 1993 and stop by to see her each time I am on the Hill. There is no kinder person on this earth.
| 43 | Margo | Doris is one of the few things you can count on during a crazy Congressional day. She will remember you and will take the time to give you a smile and ask how you are doing.
When day in and day out staff must endure cranky Congressmen and constituents, Doris is sometimes the only bright spot. |
Theresa Spinola | Doris was, indeed, one of the best things about my time on the Hill. She should absolutely be reinstated.
